Creating this cup cozy was uber easy while being fun.  Here I love the 3D Spiral Flower Die that creates these stunning 3D roses!  Here with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, this flower makes this cozy stand out from the rest!
Tracing this pattern from a cozy from Starbucks, hot glued to stay closed and stand up to holding a cup.  Adding this fun Signature with my Say It Your Way Stamp is a fun personal accent.
This fun punched sentiment says it all... go ahead, Come Stamp With ME!!  Punched with this punch from the New Catalog (Label Bracket punch) for a fun and sassy look.

Accent these points with the adhesive backed Rhinestone Jewels... because every drink should sparkle - lol.
The Say It Your Way is a fun accent to ALL of my Projects.. here the 'signature' makes me feel like an artist and if I find that I have to give my cozy away (you never know when you have to cheer someone up) It will be my signature they see when they are drinking.
OK so I attended the Red Carpet Event where Stampin' Up! released the most beautiful Catalog (coming out in June). This cozy was a must today - it's so pretty and my tired body needed a little pretty.  Adding to my pretty??  I couldn't resist delving into the new Catalog to drool and dream!!
Ha, Ha, Ha... these sticky tabs are a great way to mark my upcoming wants and purchases... what will YOU get??
What do you think??  Please Share Me and This with a Pin, Email, Facebook post, Tweet.. and Join Me with a follow on these avenues like Pinterest and YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Foursquare!  Get even MORE Gettin' Crafty Stampin' with our Exclusive Mailing List and it's many rewards!!

There isn't much better, when you are tired, than something pretty to perk you up.  Combine that with something like a coffee - you are sure to be 'perked' right up for the day!  So as I put my feet up, coffee, cozy and catalog in hand... I had a few bright moments in the midst of my busy and blessed life!  JOIN ME in my upcoming classes and perk up YOUR life!!

Red Carpet Event

Ohhh yeah, baby!! I was sooo excited to be invited to join the 2104 Catalog Premier in a Red Carpet Event held by Stampin' Up!  With a week to plan my wardrobe (there are so many options!!) and a road trip with my stampin' team... I was over the moon.  Throw in the NEW CATALOG - coming out in June... my excitement was palatable!!  So Join Me in this snippet of the fun we had... sadly, I can't share what all that we saw or brought home... not on my blog and not yet.  JOIN ME and see the new Catalog at an upcoming event or schedule a time to see the goodies inside (and what we brought home).
The road trip to Long Beach had me meeting up with my stampin' sisters in Encino.. where we lunched and loaded into my car for this fun adventure!!  The CEO, Shelli, and staff presented - even handing the goodies out personally!!  DID YOU See the Fun we were having??  FOLLOW ME on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and be in the know!!
Shopping!  As ifffff I'd need an excuse - lol.  I did grab these sparkling new shoes with a pretty long, dark blue eyelet maxi dress and threw on my grey lace shrug.  With my collection of jewelry and new Cinderella inspired shoes... I was excited to hook up with my upline and dear friend Susie, our team of girls... and road trip it!!  (I wish the whole crew could have made it - but the fun car load was a great break!!)
Ohhhh Myyyyy Goshhhh!!  EEEEEK!!!!
I'm IN-LOVE!  First, the catalog is probably one of the best lay-outs I've seen in a decade!  Then it's filled with beautiful collections, variety of styles and new tools... let's just say that I'm over the moon!!  EEEEK!!!!
Those who attended the event for the Red Carpet (in Long Beach) came home with a BOX of the New Catalogs, four stamp sets, two papers, craft collection... sigh... a dream!!  So SIGN UP for an event and be the FIRST to see the goodies - up close and personal!!
Loaded up, I was so busy having fun, on Facebook with my team giving sneak peaks (they were so bummed to miss out on this amazing event) and then posting the fun on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook... it was a great night and we scored an amazing collection to play with!!
Having gotten home at 10pm, a 9 hour adventure on top of my regular mom and volunteering activities... I was a tuckered out girl!!  Today was a coffee must as I delved into the new catalog!!  Go ahead, come and stamp with me... the fun has just begun... and it's waiting for YOU!!

Up for Auction

I'm an avid reader... one who dreams of writing her own books (and has dreamt this for as long as I can remember).  Being an avid reader, I find I have a broad spectrum of what I love reading but find that Romance novels, with a thrill of danger, are my favorite.

One of my favorite Authors is the New York Best Selling Author and USA Today Best Selling Author, Brenda Novak.  One of the things I love about Brenda, besides her amazing talent in story telling, is her passion for the fight against Diabetes.  My husband and many in his family have this disease.  I have a genuine passion for fighting for this cause and the cure.  This disease strikes millions.  I couldn't resist partnering with Brenda and her On-Line Auction for Diabetes!!  Last year my auction item raised $100 dollars that all went to Diabetes Research!!  Let us DOUBLE That or MORE This YEAR!!
This year's collection that I am donating is:
A wonderful collection of hand-stamped greeting cards by an award winning designer (a collection of 10 by me). A hand-stamped faux Stained Glass butterfly wreath with a coordinating hand-stamped dry-erase board. The collection is valued at $220.

A wonderful collection of hand-stamped greeting cards by an award winning designer (a collection of 10). A faux Stained Glass butterfly wreath with a coordinating hand-stamped dry-erase board.

I stumbled on her in a used book and then became addicted.  I literally delved into ALL of her books!!  I reached out to her and have been blessed to get to know her!!  If you would like to get to know Brenda and more on her writing, simply CLICK HERE to see her website.

JOIN THIS AUCTION!!  CLICK HERE to see the Brenda Novak Facebook Auction and the amazing collection of items that are waiting on YOUR (and My) bids!!  CLICK HERE to see MORE on Brenda Novak's For The Cure work in fighting Diabetes and raising funds to support this battle.
With a beautiful hand-stamped, faux Stained Glass Butterfly Wreath you will hang a wonderful collection of 3D flowers, colorful butterflies and beauty.
With rich jewel tones, this colorful wreath is a great way to add color to any room.
You could hang this outside but inside in recommended.  This would be a delightful decoration to any room, bringing the outside in for a timeless and rich look.
Write inspiring quotes, your schedule and/or messages to your loved ones (or ideal near a phone for tracking phone calls).  This colorful dry-erase board has a coordinating stained glass looking butterfly for a beautiful look to your notes.  The 3D paper flower is a fun accent to the outside of this dry erase board.
With a cute 'you can never have too much happy' sentiment, this colorful board is sure to deliver smiles.
Be eco-friendly and stop using paper... those notes often get lost.  Instead, write on this beautiful board and wipe away when you are done.
This collection is of 10 stunning hand-stamped cards that have a wide variety of uses!  Send a stunning hand-stamped card - or 10 - and wow your friends and family!!

Join Brenda Novak and I as we fight this disease.  Bring home beautiful treasures with this fundraising auction.  This item is up for bid.. who will bring it home (to keep or it makes a great gift).  Join This Auction HERE!  Leave me a comment, here, if you bid on my collection and I will send you a gift!!

Mad about Mad Hatter Hats Paper Crafting Tutorial

I am just mad for Mad Hatter hats!  Having grown up loving Alice in Wonderland, then my oldest was the Cheshire cat in her High School play... and my adoration of all things Steam Punk (a mixture of science fiction and fantasy with advanced technology based on steam power.. very Doctor Who and it ties into one of my favorite movies Kate and Leopold).  When a friend and crafter, Ashley, called wanting to have a Private Class and create Mad Hatter hats... I was bubbling over with excitement!!  YES!!  So join me with this fun tutorial on making these cute hats.
Create these cute hats with:
*Etcetera Designer Series Paper (#130129)
*Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper (#130144)
*Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (#126926)
Very Vintage Designer Buttons (#129327)
Antique Brads (#117273)
*Vintage Trinkets (#118764)
*Large Pearl Jewels (#125577)~ON SALE this week on the Weekly Deal!!
Pearl Jewels (#119247)
*Victoria Crochet Trim (#118481)
*Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Trim (#130022)
Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon (#120992)
Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon (#120999)
Circles Collection Framelits (#130911)
Spiral Flower Originals Die (#129379 Occasions Mini)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658)
Hot Glue, Bobby Pins, Ribbon...
If you enjoy this card and want to have some fun crafting with me, CLICK HERE and RSVP ASAP for my Upcoming Classes!!  Most classes are FREE with a qualified purchase!!

OK so this is my second youngest and you have to admit - these adorable hats ROCK!!
See this tutorial below:
Using a Dixie Cup as my template... cut up one side and remove the base of the cup.

Lay it out over the back of the paper you want to use.  Trace with a pen.
*Cut out the template with sharp scissors, our Paper Snips (#103579) and Craft Scissors (#108360) are great high-quality tools that make precision cuts showing how GOOD You are!!
* When cutting the template out - also cut 1/2"-1/4" on one side - out side of your template for a lip.  Use this lip for adhesive.
Using the Circle Collections Framelits they have the perfect fit for this project and the base that matches the template!  Cutting out the base for the smaller side, for the larger side of the hat and the hat brim with the Circle Collection Framelits on the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform.

Cut 4 strips 6" x 1/2" to use for structure and to hold the bases of the hat to the open holes.
Hot Glue the strips the each side open in the hat.  Making an 'X' of these strips will support the structure while holding the 'lids' to the hat.
Here is my Mad Hatter style hats in the *Etcetera Designer Series Paper with Very Vintage Designer Buttons adhered like a corset.  Tie on the Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon for a pretty coordinated bow - this'd make a great wedding party hat or non-traditional bridal hat.

This very cool *Modern Medley Designer Series Paper has a beautiful Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight rose made with the Spiral Flower Die.  Accented with the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon and Antique Brad for a cool look.. now to find a reason to wear it!!  Adding the adhesive backed *Large Pearl Jewels (on sale through Monday on the Weekly Deals) for a pretty center to the rose.
This cute Lamb card in the Spiral Flower Die Rose with *Large Pearl Jeweled center accented *Etcetera Designer Series Paper for a cool vintage looking Mad Hatter hat.  Accented with the *Victoria Crochet Trim and Antique Brads... it's a wonderful vintage looking accessory.  Add the *Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Trim to the top for a fun feminine accent.

The *Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper is a cool combination of colors and design for an elegant look. Create a 'Corset' look (very Steam Punk) with the Vintage Trinkets brads before adhering hat so that the brads are hidden inside.  The adhesive backed *Large Pearl Jewels are a cool random accent.  I couldn't resist adding one dash of the Antique Brad near the 'corset' of Vintage button brads.  Tie on some elegance with the Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.
Oh... It is sooooo hard to pick!!
I'm hoping my oldest will let me throw a fun themed party when she becomes engaged - I see my girls and I having a blast making these sweet accessories.

Which is YOUR Favorite??  Leave me a comment and let me know!!
Adding this Bobby Pin with a strip of the Designer Series Paper.  Use Ribbon, too, to tie these beautiful accessories on.
My girls were besides themselves in getting these pretty hats on... I see us creating something fun like this for an upcoming birthday party.
Erica created this cute hat at the Mad Hatter Private Class... the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper is soon to retire!!  Grab it and its awesomeness on the Last Chance List - when it's gone, it's gone!!  (Here she raided my private stash of retired items and used the Black Satin ribbon as the accent on this card - adding a pop of color with the Cherry Cobbler Binding.

These black pearls are our adhesive backed Pearl Jewels that are colored in with a black permanent marker.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
