Blessed... I was honored to Co-Room Mom with two amazing ladies in two of my kids classes this past year... this was a lil something I came up with to honor our teachers...
I pulled a Whisper White Cardstock and painted a brown trunk and branches on it with some acrylic paint I had about after a craft of one of my kids for school... With Garden Green and Daffodil Inks we created the leaves, grass and flowers... it was a fun process that the kids enjoyed! Being that it is waterbased ink on our Classic Ink pads it was easy cleaned with baby wipes!
(perfect for a mom with babies... lol)
Then with the help of moms and yard duties from our school I snuck onto campus (I half live there - lol) and had the kids come and fingerprint some leaves! I LOVE the result! I created the lil poem about how their love allowed us to grow and placed the kids name near their lil branch/plant (5 lil finger prints per kid). This was a Fun and Easy craft... it is a great present as the teachers never have to water or feed it.. lol.
I nabbed an 11x14" frame and created my own mat out of the Garden Green Cardstock (a 12x12" cardstock cut and sponged with Chocolate Chip ink to add texture).
Sadly I missed the presentation to our Kindergarden Teacher, Mrs. Escudero 'E' but was blessed to see the photos.... awwww!
I was able to present this to Ms. Elias's 2nd grade class on our last day of school (we left school a week early due to a business and family commitment....) so on the 'Fun Hat day' Patricia and I gave this to Ms. Elias with a loud group of happy kids who did a great job at keep it all on the down low.. lol. Mrs. Hudson, one of our moms and Substitude teachers helped me to get the finger prints by getting Ms. Elias out of class... I say it was worth it!
