The uses for an Embossing folder are not limited to the Big Shot... I love using my folders as a Background Stamp! Here is a Preview of the Spring Mini coming out in January... this card has the Honey Comb Embossing Texture Folder and Collage Curios stamp set - both from the Spring Mini!
I am in love with this Mini!!
Using a Brayer, an Embossing Folder, Ink Pad and Rolling Pin you can take any Embossing folder and turn it into a Background stamp!
This Natural White cardstock base is ideal to create a clean but vintage looking card. My dear friend and stamper Nancy and her two daughters inspired this with thier warmth, sparkle and love. They needed a prayer... so I am sending this as a reminder that I'm praying!
Brayer an Embossing Folder with Soft Suede ink and then place the cardstock inside. Use a Rolling Pin (the baking kind - how cool is that??) and then roll over the closed folder. Use even but not too hard pressure and it'll come out great! I like to stand when doing it.
With my Embossing Buddy I powdered the surface of the whole card. With the bee from the Collage Curios (Spring Mini) is stamped these bees with a Versa Mark pad. Powder with Gold embossing powder. Heat Set and BAM these lil sunshiney-gold elegant bees are stunning!
Tie Early Espresso Bakers Twine in cute lil bows in the Soft Suede and Early Espresso Neutrals Flowers from the Neutrals button colletion. Using the Mini Glue Dots to adhere them down and stamp with Early Espresso this I'm Praying for You sentiment from the Blessings From Heaven greeting stamp set. I love that it's neutrals, elegant and simple. It's clean and fun! I used my Daubers dipped in the Soft Suede ink and daubed the edges... it's softens the card while adding a vintage vibe.
Here is a peek at this quick and fun technique! Let me know what you think! Thanks for looking!
Great video! I have forgotten about this technique. Will have to give a try again.
