I remember that the books in our family collection that were guilders with gold on the edges were the important ones. The Bible, CS Lewis books, Moby Dick, etc. So, when I want to make a statement of importance, I gild a card with Gold!
Kaitlyn, our niece, turned 16! Wow!! She wasn't two when my husband and I became a couple! I wanted to celebrate this monumentous occasion with her. Let her know just how important she is!! The Sale A Bration FREE stamp sets are coming! This Feeling Sentimental stamp set is stunning! My Sister In Law said that Royal Blue is Kait's favorite color.
Using the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack from the Spring Mini and the Midnight Muse DSP inside, then Summer Starfruit card stock I created this card.
Utilizing the Top Note Die and Big Shot to create this DSP accent. The Gold Embossing directly on the DSP seemed to get lost. Wanting to see how the gold embossing powder would do on the Summer Starfruit, I was pleasantly surprised!
Ripping the edges (pulling it towards me to create a large feathered edge) I then used the Illuminate Stamp Pad (introduced in the Holiday Mini but available in the Spring Mini) and Gold Embossing Powder to the feathered edges. This adds to the Gilded edge look. Doing the same with the folded card stock base and the DSP allows for a rich look!
Who wouldn't love to receive this gilded card? This Gilded Sentimental Celebration card is sure to show her how amazing she is!
Thank you for coming by, looking and leaving a comment. Feel free to share this. How do you celebrate the important moments and people in your life?? What would you Gild?
