There is a Snowflake in my Window!

Living the Southern California Life doesn't give me the beauty of looking out my window and seeing a White Winterland.. where Snowflakes cascade down my window... So I wanted to create a White Winter Wonderland... and maybe a snowflake or a few in my window...

Starting with the Snowflakes from the DVD's I used to create Tree Earrings (See HERE for that Link) I wanted to Re-Purpose the 'scrap' snowflakes and their iridescent wonder!

Cutting a Whisper White Card Stock in 1/2 at the 4-1/4" mark I then folded them in 1/2 - each of the two.  Layering them so they became a 3 flap card I used SNAIL Adhesive to seal them.

Using the Labels Collection Framelits from the Idea Book I cut out the second largest frame in the set on the front of one of the flaps.  With the Snow Flurries Bigz die I had the cut Large Snowflake in the Iridescent DVD... I cut the smallest snowflake and the largest out of the Silver Glimmer Paper.  Here with Mini Glue Dots I adhered them back to back in the frame!  You can barely tell that it's backed up to another snowflake.  The DVD image is fragile - the extra support with the glue dot and other snowflake will help it to stay where it needs to be.

The smallest Silver Glimmer snowflake lies right behind the snowflakes and is well hidden.  I wanted a dash more winter wonderland so I added 1/2" strips of Glimmer Paper that used the Finishing Touches Edgelits.  A little like a snowflake, in my opinion....

I wanted to have the inside have tons of space to write a note... I'm planning to send this off to my Uncle and Aunt in Indiana and wanted to leave room to write..
With the Dazzling Details sparkle across the inside bottom, there are surprises at every corner!
As you close it up - it's pretty from each angle... I think this will show them some 'extra' love...
From the Outside... this snowflake is just lovely..
SURPRISE!!!  When you open it you see these Silver Glimmer Snow Flakes and edges..
Dazzling Details Glitter Adhesive added bling and 'fallen snow' to the bottom of all three flaps inside the card... another sweet surprise!

Plenty Room to Write... with our large family, there is a ton to write about!!

Using the Paper effectively, this lovely Tri-Fold card will go into a standard envelope!  I love that!

Thanks for coming by and looking.  Please feel free to share this and my site w/ others...
comments are more than appreciated!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
