Butterfly Birthday

When the daughter of one of my dear friend's had her birthday, I couldn't resist making this girly girl an
ultra-feminine card! 
Here using our So Saffron card stock as the base for this Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.  The Swallowtail stamped over the patterned paper is with Early Espresso Ink.  This dark ink stands sharply above the pretty quilted patterned paper.  Our So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker colors in, separates while being see through (like a real butterfly is).

Our adhesive backed Basic Jewels sweeten this card.  The larger pearls frame the pretty stamped Tea Lace Paper Doily (24 in a pack - for only $2.95 in the Spring Mini).  Lean on Me is a sweet stamp set in our Idea Book & Catalog and with the cute little butterfly fluttering... it fit this card.  Our Stampin' Write Markers make is easy to color in this sweet girl.  Accenting the Doily* with the strips of pearls and her buttons with the smallest pearls... she's as sweet as can be.
*(Stamping on the Doily does take a little longer to dry, be prepared.)
 
Double Doily, double the beauty.
The Doilies are thin and easily stick together.  When I adhered this down I was surprised when the top layer came OFF... so I adhered it down and then ruffled the edges.  This flutter is a BONUS from a Boo-Boo.  I love it!
(Like the flutter of the butterfly wings...)
 Sweet, tied together with subtle mimicking touches, this Girly Girl card is PERFECT for my adopted 'niece' on her birthday.  I love that our two families are blessed to know and be close to one another.  (Sometimes the best family is the ones God brings as we are older, in the form of friendship.)

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
