Go ahead... Schedule Yourself some Fun while Learning something new! See a snippet of a recent class... Thanks Georgia for snapping these!!
I love teaching.. looking back I realize that I am glad that I didn't join the ranks of those unspoken heroes and teach at schools (they work so hard and are undervalued - then again, I ammmm a mom so I feel a little of their pain - lol)...
I do get my 'teach' on (lol) with my love of card making and paper crafting, where I impart my knowledge of rubber-stamping and paper crafting while making new friends!!
So having a cold, I'd rested all day to have the energy for my new class at the CRPD! Fighting a cold... it stinks... but having a little 'me' time is ideal for a pick-me-up! We created 4 stunning cards that had us giggling as we learned new techniques! This class is a series and will have four weeks packed with crafting fun and a few laughs..
I found it funny that as I started my class, a friend from my bible-study who'd known me from MOPS joined us! We were found laughing as we created these fun cards!
Serious fun... lol.. I love how you learn something new about those around you as you craft! You find those that want their projects 'just so' and others who are more chill... you'd be surprised at where many a person is on this spectrum!
I love sharing little secrets, tools and tips on how to create the best project that you can! I love, too, how paper crafting mimics fashion...
So here is a snippet of what we created:
Stained Glass technique with this Poinsettia card and our Aqua Painters..
3D Ornament cards..
Luxurious Silver on Silver cards...
Tons of FUN!
Creating always brings me joy.. and doing so with friends is a real blessing! Here Georgia joined the class after Tap dance - what a feat for a late night class!
