Stained Glass Poinsettia hand-stamped card

I adore the beauty of sunlight pouring through a stained glass window.  It brings back memories of sitting in a pew with my grandparents as we sang hymns.  My home has a lovely rose stained glass window that I find my self pausing at daily to admire... so when I created this poinsettia stained-glass hand-stamped card I heard the soft hymns of my family when I was young.

Inspired by my dear friend, Christine, and her love of traditional reds and gold... you will need:
Real Red card stock (#102482)
Real Red ink (#126949)
Gold Foil Sheets (#132622)
Joyful Christmas stamp set (#131805)
Vellum card stock (#101856)
Versa Mark stamp pad (#102283)
Gold Embossing Powder (#109129)
Heat Tool (#129053)
Glue Dots (#103683)
Aqua Painters (#103954)
Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder (#116824)
Stamp this beautiful Poinsettia with Versa Mark stamp pad on the Vellum card stock and cover with the Gold Embossing Powder.  Heat set with the Heat Tool for this beautiful gold framed flower.

Do the same with this Joyous Christmas greeting on the Real Red card stock.  I do love the elegance of Red and Gold, don't you??
Emboss this Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder and Big Shot on the Gold Foil Sheet.

Using the Aqua Painter and the Real Red ink pad to paint the Vellum Card-Stock for this pretty stained-glass look.  Cut it out with our Paper Snips and adhere with the Glue Dots for a transparent look.  These petals will curl slightly, from the water coloring, giving a realistic element to this cool card.
Catching the Light you can see straight through the vellum and is a WOW card that is sure to bring back memories of yore.. Yet a cool and quick card for maximum impact this Holiday Season!
Metallic cards and accents are all the rage!  Go ahead, have fun, pull out your metallic accents and shine this Christmas season!

I'm so blessed that you came by today!  I try to post daily, please come by and visit often... bring your friends and family along, too!

I love how you can capture the elegance and beauty of traditional elements and actually send them to those you love.  Here a Red and Gold card with Stained-Glass elements is sure to WOW!  So, as I hold my hot tea in my hand, remembering the warmth of my Pappa's hand on mine, I toast this holiday season with this pretty hand-stamped card and sing a hymn or two...

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
