For this card you will need:
Post Card background stamp (#130366)
Truly Grateful stamp set (#131370)
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
Pumpkin Pie card stock (#105117)
Pumpkin Pie ink (#126945)
Crushed Curry ink (#131173)
Early Espresso ink (#126974)
Linen Thread (#104119)
Paper Snips (#103579)
Versa Mark ink (#102283)
Clear Embossing Powder (#109130)
Heat Tool (#129053)
Embossing Buddy (#103083)
Brayer (#102395)
Stampin' Sponges(#101610)
Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive (#104430)
Framed Tulips Embossing Folder (#121809)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
Cutting the Very Vanilla card stock to 4-1/4"x5-1/2". Powder with the Embossing Buddy, this primes your surface for the Versa Mark and Embossing (much like applying powder to your face, filling the nooks and crannies, before applying the remaining make-up).
Stamp this Post Card background Stamp with Versa Mark on the Very Vanilla card stock. Stamp the bounty of wheat and 'thankful for' stamp from the Truly Grateful stamp set.
Liberally cover with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set with our Heat Tool. Cut the card stock down to near the edges of the Post Card image.
'Load' your Brayer with the Crushed Curry ink. Add/Load the ends with the Pumpkin Pie ink.
Roll across the embossed card stock and your images will appear (like magic)! Using my Stampin' Sponge and rubbing the embossing to remove the ink that sits on the top. Use the same Stampin' Sponge to apply the Early Espresso ink to the edges of the card stock for a framed and vintage look. My Color Coach (#130118) paired these colors together for a colorful and warm card!
Using the end of my Paper Snips I make a small hole and tied the bundle of wheat with the Linen Thread for a fun 3D accent.
Emboss the Pumpkin Pie card stock base with the Tulip Frame Embossing Folder and Big Shot. Layer this brayerd post card over the top for a raised and fun framed image.
This exact technique can translate with any collection of colors... see this fun video and try it yourself! Leave me a comment and let me know what you do!
Often the blessing of those you are thankful for add color and warmth to your life. Send those who you are thankful for... a thankful card that reflect the beauty they bring to your life. I'm so thankful that you came by today... I hope that I added a dash of color to your life, too!
