80 Happy Birthday Wishes!!

In order to create a personalized card you have to know the person you are giving it to.  My father in law turned 80 today.  He is a man of little 'flash', he loves his garden and plants, growing much of what we eat when we gather.  He's from Italy, makes his own wine and is quick to tell a joke and make others laugh.  So in celebrating his 80th birthday I created a card that mimics his natural fun loving nature.

Create this beautiful 80 with our Typeset Alphabet dies, Big Shot and Gold Foil sheets.  Balanced with a 'Happy Birthday Wishes' from the Simply Sketched Hostess Stamp set it becomes '80 Happy Birthday Wises'!!  Framed to POP on the Chocolate Chip card stock it separates from the base of the card while tying it in.  Making it to '80' is quite amazing.. go ahead, add some warmth and elegance with this addition of gold to this natural masculine card.
My Color Coach (#130118) shows me what colors to pair together.  This Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Garden Green make a wonderful masculine ensemble.  Stamping the Crumb Cake card stock with the Crumb Cake ink on the Hardwood stamp* this tone on tone image makes for a wonderful 'base'. 
 
Coloring the Look Up to Father* stamp with the Stampin' Write Markers is a great way to add multiple colors to one image.
My father-in-law is all about nature.. this is just his style.  I love how this sentiment is a reflection of my father-in-law.. he's my height and my hubby/his son is near 6', yet my husband still looks up to his Pa.
My father-in-law came from Italy, worked hard and provided for their three kids.  Now with 10 grandkids, three have that special 'someone' in their lives... and it just seems that the family grows.  All from the love of this man to his wife of over 50 years....

Create a personalized card for those who are special in your life.  Hand-Stamped cards say so much, especially when they reflect the love of and style of the person receiving it.  Some would have made this card more elegant of bling-y... but showing Sal's style and love of nature, his warmth and strength... it's a wonderful way to show how special he is to us.  Thanks for joining us in celebrating him!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone.
