OK so this BEAUTIFUL Collection is the new Watercolor Wonder Note Card collection!  I adore that it perfectly coordinates with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series paper!!  So with these beautiful cards that are MADE Out Of Watercolor Paper!!  So it's thick, cushy, absorbent and luxurious!  I'm a tactile girl... I love how these feel!

After Masking (see Below) I stamped this 'Feel Better Soon' from the Hostess Exclusive Express Yourself stamp set in Tangerine Tango ink.  JOIN ME as a Hostess and Have Fun at a Private Class that I create JUST FOR YOUR STYLE!  Your guests have the fun and YOU earn the Generous Hostess Benefits!  Book YOURS NOW for the Sale~A~Bration Sale and Your Guests and YOU will earn BONUS Free Stamps, Papers, Tools and MORE!!
Mask!  Masking is a technique I use often... it's fun and easy and helps create a multilayered look to a project.  For this project I used this negative centered card in Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.  I applied a sticky-note and then because it's thin I traced the negative/white area with a pencil.  Using my SNIPS (no better scissors #103579) to remove the area.  Leaving the sticky note to cover the colored area I stamped these Petite Petals image with Stazon Jet Black ink.*

You can see how Masking will keep the stamped images inside the area I decide leaving a clean look.  I then water colored the images and removed the sticky note to reveal the beauty I created.

*Stazon is a permanent ink and ideal for watercoloring.  Most of our inks are water-based and can bleed when they are used for the outline of a watercolored project.  Stazon does not.
WATER-Coloring.. sigh... so dreamy!  It is a fabulous way to create a ton of color!

Starting with the Stazon stamped image I then squished the lid, while closed, into the ink pad.  This creates a smudge of ink that is like a palate of ink to use.  Doing this with both the Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango inks I am ready to go!

Coloring the lightest color in the center and working my way out, the Aqua Painter has water in the base and is pre-loaded for a great application.  You don't need it dripping just damp!

Blending in the edges with the Tangerine Tango ink and Aqua Painter this is a great way to control the color blend!
Accent with curled leaves!!  Simply Punch the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper with the Petite Petals punch.  Using my thumb and the Bone Folder I curl the edges.  Make sure to mix the lighter and darker punched images for a blended look!

Laying them out with out the Glue Dots allows me to have a visual and move them about.. better for those who are more 'A' Type... you know who you are (Carol, Ashley, Christine??) lol...
I thought they needed a centering.. so the Brights Candy Dots ROCK!  Simply apply these adhesive backed colored 'dots' that look a lot like old-fashioned candy dots!
When my dear friend Patti started her fight with bronchitis, turning into pneumonia.. I couldn't resist creating her a beautiful card to brighten her day and wish her well!!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
