Welcome Home hand-stamped card

With New Neighbors it'd be easy to never know them... to drive by and wave if they catch your eye... but I live in the type of neighborhood where most of us care for one another.  It's nice and sometimes wacky.  So from great to crazy neighbors I couldn't resist taking a moment to meet a new neighbor who moved in two doors down. 
 
Popping by, unannounced, I promised her and her daughter a card, an invite to come play and to call if they ever had any needs... so creating this Welcome Home hand-stamped, punch-art card is a fun way to say that you are glad that they are your neighbors.  (We also have a friend move in a street over... the great thing is that one page can create two cute cards easily!)

Embossing the Summer Starfruit card stock base with the Arrows Embossing Folder* to create a textured 'wall' look to this card.  Cutting the Card down to being 3-3/4" wide it will still fit inside an envelope  but be smaller than the 'roof'.
 
Emboss this Crisp Cantaloupe card stock door with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and add this cork door knob from the FREE Sweet Sorbet Accessories Pack**.  Adding these Punched flowers from the Sweet Sorbet Paper with the Itty Bitty Punch flower. Accent the flowers with our adhesive backed Rhinestones for a pretty bling addition. 
 
Using the FREE Banner Punch** to create the 'curtains' and cut in 1/2.  Layered over the Whisper White card stock window.  Using Stampin' Write Markers to create the flower stems and the Window makes for a easy and cute accent.
This 4" x 2" Sweet Sorbet** Free Designer Series Paper has great pops of color offset with black.. love it!  Adhere the top with Glue Dots.  Adhere the bottom with Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive.. so it gives an angled roof feel.

It's hard, in our fast paced lives, to find time to say "Hi" and get to know your neighbors.  To welcome them to the neighborhood... but when you find that you do, you may come to know that they'll become friends and be there when you need them.  So create a hand-stamped, punch-art card that welcomes them to their new home and your neighborhood.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
