Golden Bee Thank You hand-stamped card

Send a golden Thank You card... that is bee-utiful!  This classic, naturally elegant, vintage Postage Collection hand-stamped embossed card embraces a heat embossed gold bee and a brushed gold embossed Honeycomb elegance to say 'Thank You'.  Join me in sending rich thank you's to those who are a blessing!

Create this card with:
Crumb Cake card stock (#120953)
Brushed Gold card stock (#102935)
Postage Collection Hostess Exclusive stamp set (#129240)
Versa Mark pad (#102283)
Embossing Buddy (#103083)
Gold Embossing Powder (#109129)
Heat Tool (#129053)
3/4" Circle Punch (#119873)
1-1/4" Circle Punch (#119861)
Honeycomb embossing folder (#129378)
Bitty Banners framelits (#129267)
Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
Stampin' Dimensional adhesive (#104430)
SNAIL Simple Neat Affordable In-Line Adhesive (#104332)

Cut and Score the Crumb Cake card stock for a neutral base that mimics the Brushed Gold card stock.

Rub the surface of the Crumb Cake card stock with the Embossing Buddy.  Stamp the Postage Collection floral circle with Versa Mark pad and cover with Gold Embossing Powder.  Heat set with the Heat Tool.  Using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch and punch this beautiful leafed circle.

Cut the Brushed Cold card stock (cut to 3-3/4" x 5" - making sure to save the 'scraps' to emboss on).  Emboss in the Big Shot Die-Cutting machine and Honeycomb embossing folder for this rich raised base.  Adhere to the Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL adhesive (covering the hole punched for the 1-1/4" circle and I didn't waste any paper!!).
The KEY to a clean heat-embossed surface is PREPPING the Surface with the Embossing Buddy for a clean surface.  Stamping the Bee and 'Thank You' from the Postage Collection stamp set on the scrap of Brushed Gold card stock.  Punch the Bee out using the 3/4" Circle Punch.  Using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform with the Bitty Banners Framelits for this cute small banner!

Layer the gold embossed branch on the Crumb Cake card stock over the Honeycomb Big Shot embossed Brushed Gold card stock with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.  Layer the Thank You banner off to the side (using the edge of the Stampin' Dimensional sheet so I'm not wasting any of it and using the thinner strip).  Raise the gold embossed bee on the Brushed Gold card stock over the branch circle.

I love that this card repurposes the scraps of the card stocks and adhesive!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
