Inspired by a dear friend, Georgia, who adored the Christmas Stained Glass cards and placed an order for the components but needed a refresher on how to use it... so this card is a great way to show that!
This card is a fun and unique to have layers.
Using the Embossing Buddy and powdering the Vellum card stock for a well prepared surface. Stamp this pretty flower from the Peaceful Petals stamp set with Versa Mark ink. Cover with the Black Embossing Powder. Shake off any excess. Heat set with the Heat Tool for a shiny, raised image (much like stained glass looks).
Here I layered it over the fun polka dot page from the FREE* Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper for a unique background. The vellum mutes the polka dots yet lets their colors and image add to the page.
Once set, if you want to add color, use the Aqua Painter and paint in the leaves (here with Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding). It's pretty and coordinated for a pulled together look.
Both make a statement.
Keeping for a cohesive look, prep the surface of the Crisp Cantaloupe card stock with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp this Thank You with the Versa Mark ink, cover with the Black Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. It's pretty and shines, just like the flowers.
Adhere the Vellum to the Sweet Sorbet with Glue Dots and then tie this when you wrap the Whisper White Bakers Twine around the two pieces. A cute and simple bow adds to the project.
Liking both, I'm torn... which is YOUR Favorite and Why? Leave me a comment and let me know, I will pick a winner and send them the card of their choice.
