Pin a rose on me.. Hand crafted gift

I was recently given a new position of service.  I couldn't resist decorating my new badge and doing so with a pretty rose that will not die!! Using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Spiral Flower Die I picked two fun felts from my local craft store.  Felt comes in a fabulous variety of patterns, textures and colors - so shop them and have fun!!
 
Cutting each Spiral separately I then moved to my Hot Glue Gun and Silicone Craft Sheet.  I layered the flower die-cuts and rolled them together.  Using HOT Glue (this is very hot and I'm known for ALWAYS getting burned - so it's my disclaimer to you... watch out!) I adhered them together and glued them as I rolled them.  Any glue drops or run off can safely drop on the Silicone Craft Sheet for the safety of your surfaces.
 
I'm blessed to attend Bible Study Fellowship with my youngest on Thursdays.  I LOVE IT!!  They are more of an academy of studying the bible and the bible alone as we work each year through different books of the bible.  Recently, my friend who coordinates the hosts of BSF asked me to join the ranks of those who greet and welcome the ladies.  YAY!  Right up my alley!  Greeting, chatting and talking with people??  Who me (te, he, he, he)?!?!  Mix my love of crafting, fashion, accessories this combines for some fun!!
While at the craft store I usually pick up fun crafts like these pins.  Using the Hot Glue to adhere it to the back of the layered, multicolored rose and let set on the Silicone Craft Sheet so that it can drip and not damage any surfaces and have time to cool and set.
This pin is uber strong - ideal for my new badge, for my scarves, my bags, and more!  I love that these pins work for so many reasons.
I feel like a Spanish dancer when I pin this rose to my hair.  Pins work great directly in my hair, on my hair-tie, any scarf I tie to my hair, etc.  Have fun with this great accessory.  I did give one to my daughter's teacher at BSF and she wears it on her apron... it can jazz up anything!!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
