Oh the days of the vintage typewriter.. I grew up using my grandparent's metallic teal typewriter, my dad's black one that he upgraded to an electric typewriter.. I know all about carbon paper (this makes duplicates - lol), white out and white out tape, correction sheets (paper like white out that you'd go back and retype), film to use in typing, that fabulous tap, tap, tap of the keys... I miss the vintage typewriter (I actually want to get one for my kids to play with - or to write some fun 'vintage' letters and journaling sheets). So this fun hand-stamped card embodies all things vintage and typewriter, it's perfect to send now and deliver memories.

Stamping this Tap, Tap, Tap line of alphabet keys on the top of the card with the Jet Black Stazon ink pad gives a fun vintage look.
Stamp the typewriter in the same Jet Black Stazon ink on the Very Vanilla card stock. Squeeze the Crumb Cake ink pad to create a palate of ink on the lid. Use this collection of ink to dip your Blender Pen into. Paint the typewriter in, leaving the keys not colored. The great thing with the Blender Pen is that you have more control with the ink and it doesn't look like a water coloring but paints, adds shadow and more. Here I also added a lighter 'shadow' to one side of the typewriter for a cool, subtle accent.
The Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper is a cool new vintage collection of ultra lightweight paper that looks and feels like it came straight from a vintage book!! Being Vintage is so trendy these days - I just feel it's timeless.
Using the ends of my Paper Snips I sliced along the top of the stamped typewriter and thread in this strip of Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper for a cool letter. The Bone Folder allowed me to curl the edges of the paper for a wrapped 3D accent.
It feels, sometimes, like I talk, talk, talk (or write, write, write) but all those words come down to a simple 'hello, friend'. This Typeset paper insert give that feel - like my heart is overflowing with words but this stamped 'hello, my friend' from the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set embodies what I my heart means.
Layering the stamped and painted Very Vanilla piece (after you thread the Typeset paper in and adhered it to the back with SNAIL Adhesive). Layered over the Basic Black card stock - I love the look of all these neutrals together for a monochromatic, soothing card. SNAIL is a strong and permanent adhesive that has a great cover for the tip (easy to travel) and is refillable.

I may love modern day conveniences (like GPS, auto-correct and smart phones) but the call of sweet memories in vintage trinkets (like the typewriter) is making a come back. Anyone who grew up on these old tools in life will find joy in the memories a hand-stamped, typewriter card can deliver (hello, rotary phones - see Timeless Talk stamp set for cool vintage tools from life). Tap out a note of love - sending timeless love in a vintage look.
