Celebrate memories, Happy Memory Documenting Monday!! I love that my husband told me what he actually wanted for his Father's Day gift this year. Since we were spending the week of Father's Day on Big Bear Lake - he asked to have us rent a boat on the lake. So with 6 kids, my hubby and I.. we secured the newest Pontoon boat and on the coldest day of the lake - lol - and windiest - we enjoyed time together. Join us in this fun adventure.. and see why I couldn't resist documenting this and celebrating the day with our Project Life system.

My poor hubby - the day wasn't allllll his, lol. With our oldest daughter driving up the mountain to spend the day with us, having Stephanie with us for the week, we were a full boat and couldn't resist taking turns driving the boat! Sure, they were short turns - my hubby wouldn't let control up for too long to us crazy women, lol, but it was short-lived fun!
Making the day personalized in my Memory Documenting is easy using our The Open Sea rubber stamp set and the Sahara Sand ink pad. Adding anchors, compasses and a vintage roster to the Project Life pages was a fun way to personalize this page to my hubby's big day.
So our youngest was super nervous being on the boat... so we found her focusing on her toes and refusing to smile for photos.. lol. I love how her big sister helped her toe inspection, lol. With a daughter acting out the deck scene from Titanic and freaking my husband out - lol... it's easy to accent the fun with the Happiness Is accessory pack and it's adhesive die-cuts.
Getting up close and personal... with China Island and the Observatory, with each other and water spray from the wind and waves.. lol.
I love the nautical stamped accents to the page using The Open Sea stamp set!! It's a fun way to highlight my hubby's page and boat love. Journaling is so easy with the Project Life Journaling pens - and this system makes it easy to journal our memories and let the pictures do most of the talking.
Getting up close and personal with the cool landmarks of Big Bear Lake - it's a great way to show the kids what they can see from our deck, up close. The swallows flying about the Observatory was only visible up close and personal.
I love the colorful accents that coordinate with the Happiness is... Project Life collection. It's fun to see the memories we had on the lake... and seeing my son in heaven while his dad drove him about on the lake was a blast.

My husband loved having a boat for his Father's Day gift. Time with his family, the lake, driving a boat (and the newest one at our resort) - it was a blast. He enjoyed touring the lake and spending time with his kids. Life is short, taking pictures is great but getting them printed and into a book to document and celebrate our memories is the key to leaving memories of love for our family. Using the Project Life documenting system makes for quick and beautiful pages that highlight the memories. Have fun - Join Us for Memory Documenting Monday Posts on my blog and for the Memory Documenting and Celebrating FREE Sunday's!!
