Photos on my iPhone

I'm a mom of 6, own my own business, as well as work for Trend Graphics in Shirt Design and Printing, have a gaggle of kids and pets, a passion for crafting, coffee, wine and fashion - not in that order... so my iPhone is a work horse!  I live on my phone.  It's crazy!!  So when I look to do something with the photos in my phone - I wasn't surprised to see that I have over 7,000 photos, 67 videos - not to mention my Instagram pictures, Facebook and Pinterest screen shots - lol.

See how I get those photos OFF my Iphone and into our family Memory Celebrating books, all while on a budget!  I hope that you enjoy this friendly tip - it saves my life and prints our memories for me!
Groovebook.  It's an amazing App that is on all smart phones.  I discovered this while watching Shark Tank.  I love that it's local to our area in Southern California, it's only $2.99 a month/book, easy to use, fast in it's turn around and it takes those photos from my Iphone and makes them an actual photo!!  My kids love taking their memories and adding them to their books.  I love taking these memories and actually getting them into books to be relived, shared and cherished.

WHY Do I LOVE Groovebook??
(A) I can select as 100 photos per book with ease from the App on my Iphone.
(B) It is only $2.99 a book.
(C) You can print multiple images of your selections - so 10 of one image in a book - as long as you don't exceed the 100 photos.
(D) You can print multiple books but a minimum of one book a month - this gets me motivated to upload at least that each month - for less than a cup of coffee!
(E) You can edit right from your phone and then order them to be printed!!
(F) The images come in a book that holds the photos together while it can easily be removed from the book.
(G) The images are Date and Location stamped and that is perforated and can be folded behind or torn off!!
Take this FREE First Book (I get absolutely NOTHING for this referral but YOU Score a Free Book to try it out!).  You can select 40 to 100 photos and print as many photo books as you want (just 'close another book' - each are only $2.99 and FREE Shipping!!).

NO JOKE... OK So my life is busy and I'm always meaning to download the pictures from my iphone but it rarely happens.  Having the images printed means that I won't lose these important memories.

When my kids come home and need a picture for school, bible study, church, or just to add them to their own Memory Celebrating Books... these are printed and at hand - ready to go!  Super MOM to the rescue - lol.

I adore our Project Life system to get these photos into books - the pages take me mere minutes to assemble!!  My kids do their own books and it's a great way for them to relive, highlight and focus on our blessings.  Join Me - See how scrapbooking has evolved into something that allows me to LIVE My Life... with Project Life by Stampin' Up! I print these book for family members after a gathering - this way they will have the printed images of our time together.  I can hand-pick the pictures that they want and I don't have to wait in line - or over pay!!  Try it out - I've used this App for over a year and I LOVE it!  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Please Share and Like this.. and JOIN ME in our Memory Celebrating Monday posts on my blog to our Memory Documenting events!

Kids Memory Documenting

Create a legacy of love and memories while keeping your children busy.  When my kids were home sick they needed an activity.  They pulled out the Project Life album and were pouring over our family's memories.  My mini-me girl grabbed her own 6" x 8" book and started adding pages with her pictures and memories.  I love that this will give them time to remember their adventures and the people in our life while teaching them to document their memories for their own families one day.

We all have photos that we don't want to frame or make a big scrapbook page for.  Giving my children these photos does a few things.  It (a) gives the kids an activity (especially on a sick day like this was), (b) shows the children's thoughts, handwriting and more for the season that they are in and (c) cleans out my box of pictures!!  What a fun way to keep my kids busy while celebrating and leaving their memories for years to enjoy, I really enjoy seeing their hand writing and thoughts tied to the pictures that mean something to them.

Our Project Life by Stampin' Up! gives my kids the ability to quickly assemble pages of memories that are stylish.  With our card system you can add pictures and journalling cards, coordinated accessories and more with ease.  Stampin' Up! even has a FREE Collection of Project Life cards in theirSale~A~Bration Promotion
She's 9 and sooo cute!!  My mini-me, sassy, passionate and fun loving girl.  Giving her the Stampin' Trimmer to cut down images is a fun way to let her feel empowered and keep her busy.  This frees me up to work.  The Stampin' Trimmer is super easy to use - even a child can!

With my children's sense of entitlement I pray this process will remind them and help them to understand that they live a blessed life.  I love the idea of seeing their hand-writing and thoughts as they change and grow.

A moment in time, capturing the hand writing and memories of my kids will be a fun way to look back at where they were.  This kid-friendly activity is one that we can do together or to keep them busy while I work.  Documenting and Celebrating our life is a fun way to ground my kids in the blessings that we have.  See how easy Project Life is and how you can incorporate it into your life and the life of future generations with my Memory Celebrating Monday posts.  Just think, some day her daughter may be looking at her mom's thoughts and writings - how cool is that??

Childhood Memories Celebrated with Project Life by Stampin' Up!

This year, for our family Christmas Gifts, I wanted to give the kids a gift that will last a long time, have genuine benefit, that will occupy their time and leave behind some great memories.  This year (and quite possibly every year from now on) they received a 6"x8" Espresso Project Life Album and a Variety Pack of Project Life Photo Pocket Pages.  While we are home, recovering from colds, on this MLK Jr day I had the plethora of pictures out and their books to get them documenting, remembering and celebrating their life.

My girls.. they couldn't wait to jump in and start the process.  I did make them a template - I cut a card stock guide that is 4"x6" and one that is 3"x4" so that they could frame their pictures and cut or fold them in the right places.
OK so maybe it isn't how Iiiiiii would do it - the word in at the wrong angle, the images picked.. but I have so many pictures (thanks to my Iphone and Groovebook App) that there is no way I could ever documented them all.

Letting the kids have at it, using it in a way that fits their vision will be a fun way to see them grow and mature.  Here my 6 year old doesn't care if the Happiness Is Project Life card is at the wrong angle, she is seeing herself and her loved ones and what makes her happy.
My boy... he was resistant.  I have to admit it.  With a not-so-gentle encouragement (sigh.. motherhood) he did find that it is fun to highlight his memories.  Once in the swing of things he was bragging on his success and how he was 'ahead' of his sisters  (such a boy - lol).

With my children's sense of entitlement I pray this process will remind them and help them to understand that they live a blessed life.  I love the idea of seeing their hand-writing and thoughts as they change and grow.
My perfectionist of a daughter was stumped at cropping the photos.  She also struggles with her written word.  This will be a great way to give her practice while she celebrates her life and growth.  She can look back and see her success in writing, reading and have hope.

With general guidelines, specific space for writing - they will be limited in how much to write and this may give them freedom from writing too much.  The Project Life by Stampin' Up! cards look so good that it frames up and highlights their memories.
We live blessed lives.  I love how easy and fun it is to celebrate these memories.  Soon they will be too busy for Mom, but they will have a great system that allows them to remember when they did and where they are on various stages of life.

Weekend Adventures Memories Documented and Shared

So our lives are super busy... from school and afterschool commitments, Violin and Band and Guitar Club, Stamp Club, Awanas, Homework, Work and Working Out, then trying to clean the house and connect.. whew! When you have as many kids and activities as we do, finding time to create and document memories has to be scheduled - lol.  So it was fun as I was documenting our weekend adventure to see our youngest get excited to see her picture and to even talk about it.
I love that this quick system allows me to highlight their activities and no pressure to journal too much.  The pictures say so much - it's great to highlight them.  I love how fun it is to celebrate their childhood memories and leave behind a legacy of love and memories and to Share It with them Now.

We are blessed to live in a beautiful community with so much to offer near by.  Here was our little excursion to the Ronald Reagan Library.  This is a fun 'library' were you can walk, touch, and have an interactive experience.  My kids love it.  With something new to see or do around every corner, they are never board.

A portion of the Twin Towers resides at this library/museum.  The kids (and us) actually touching this important piece of our history... making sure our children (and us) remember is so near and dear to our hearts.
This simple pocket style documenting system is so perfectly coordinated with cards, accessories, colors and style.  They fit our life and make it easy to look good as a page pulls together.  These cute wooden accents just add fun and a 'cool factor' to our memories.
My angel, our youngest was delighted to see her in the pictures of our recent trip to the Ronald Reagan Library.  Here the kids were on a mock horse ride with the President and they loved it (with no risk or injury or clean up - lol).  Here the present was touched by the past.  Coordinating stickers in this Everyday Adventure collection make for easy highlighting of our memories.  The journaling pens make it easy to jot down the highlights of our time together - yay!

When your life is fast paced and full, taking photos is easy (thanks to my Iphone).  I love how with a few spare moments I can document our memories.  Sure, leaving a legacy of love for my family is key but enjoying these memories NOW is wonderful.  Seeing my children, hubby, friends and family as their faces light up to see them re-live our memories.  It's an honor and blessing being a wife, mom, sister and friend.  Documenting our blessed life feeds my soul - so I'm leaving them a legacy of memories while reliving these memories.

Boating on the lake for Father's Day Memory Celebrating

Celebrate memories, Happy Memory Documenting Monday!!  I love that my husband told me what he actually wanted for his Father's Day gift this year.  Since we were spending the week of Father's Day on Big Bear Lake - he asked to have us rent a boat on the lake.  So with 6 kids, my hubby and I.. we secured the newest Pontoon boat and on the coldest day of the lake - lol - and windiest - we enjoyed time together.  Join us in this fun adventure.. and see why I couldn't resist documenting this and celebrating the day with our Project Life system.
Celebrate Great Memories like this with:

My poor hubby - the day wasn't allllll his, lol.   With our oldest daughter driving up the mountain to spend the day with us, having Stephanie with us for the week, we were a full boat and couldn't resist taking turns driving the boat!  Sure, they were short turns - my hubby wouldn't let control up for too long to us crazy women, lol, but it was short-lived fun!
Making the day personalized in my Memory Documenting is easy using our The Open Sea rubber stamp set and the Sahara Sand ink pad.  Adding anchors, compasses and a vintage roster to the Project Life pages was a fun way to personalize this page to my hubby's big day.
So our youngest was super nervous being on the boat... so we found her focusing on her toes and refusing to smile for photos.. lol.  I love how her big sister helped her toe inspection, lol.  With a daughter acting out the deck scene from Titanic and freaking my husband out - lol... it's easy to accent the fun with the Happiness Is accessory pack and it's adhesive die-cuts.
Getting up close and personal... with China Island and the Observatory, with each other and water spray from the wind and waves.. lol.
I love the nautical stamped accents to the page using The Open Sea stamp set!!  It's a fun way to highlight my hubby's page and boat love.  Journaling is so easy with the Project Life Journaling pens - and this system makes it easy to journal our memories and let the pictures do most of the talking.

Getting up close and personal with the cool landmarks of Big Bear Lake - it's a great way to show the kids what they can see from our deck, up close.  The swallows flying about the Observatory was only visible up close and personal.
I love the colorful accents that coordinate with the Happiness is... Project Life collection.  It's fun to see the memories we had on the lake... and seeing my son in heaven while his dad drove him about on the lake was a blast.

My husband loved having a boat for his Father's Day gift.  Time with his family, the lake, driving a boat (and the newest one at our resort) - it was a blast.  He enjoyed touring the lake and spending time with his kids.  Life is short, taking pictures is great but getting them printed and into a book to document and celebrate our memories is the key to leaving memories of love for our family.  Using the Project Life documenting system makes for quick and beautiful pages that highlight the memories.  Have fun - Join Us for Memory Documenting Monday Posts on my blog and for the Memory Documenting and Celebrating FREE Sunday's!!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
