From our home to yours hand-stamped Christmas card

Oh the FUN of Paper Crafting and Card Making.  I love how it's an extension of the season and my life.  I love decorating, finding time to welcome the seasons and holidays for my family and friends who come to my home.  With card making I can send a bit of the holidays to my family and friends (who I may not see).  Using the amazing Blendabilites Markers it's fun to see the depth of colors that can be reached, like on these houses.  So join me in creating a hand-stamped card that will deliver a little holiday cheer to those in your life with this card making tutorial.

OK to say that I love color is an understatement!  I adore it!!  So when the Blendabilites Markers were introduced I was over the moon.  More color and depth... score!  Using the Smoky Slate on the roofs of these cute little houses from the Holiday Home stamp set.  The Daffodil Delight Blendabilites add warmth and depth to the windows.  I love a red door on a home.  Here the bricks and the doors give a regal and warm look that is welcoming using the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilites Markers.  Using the Ombre Technique in coloring these homes makes it quicker and easier than line coloring.

Stamping the Wreath from the Holiday Home stamp set in Garden Green is a fun pop of color on this card.  Easily pop them out using the Homemade Holiday Framelits Dies on the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform for a clean and easy cut with a twist of your wrist.

Layering the houses over the Island Indigo card stock that is layered over the Smoky Slate card stock base is easy.  The sentiment and lamp in the Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Island Indigo looks great.  Using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add light to the light post is a small but wow accent that is easy to do.

Did You Know... Photopolymer stamps can not use Stazon ink - so the Memento ink pad is a great substitute.
Create a Santa flying in the sky.. stamp the Whisper White card stock that you punched using the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  I highlighted the reindeers.  Stamp the full image on the Island Indigo card stock.  Layer the punched and stamped circle over the area it's punched to create the 'flying over the moon' look.

'Tis the Season to decorate our homes.. to pull out the Christmas Trees (or buy one), to add wreaths and lights to our homes.  Sending a bit of the holidays to those in your life is a great way to celebrate the season (while decorating another's home, shelves or fridges - lol).  This colorful hand-stamped card is full of depth and color, thanks to the Blendabilites Markers.  So, Join Me, in sending some holiday cheer in a fun hand-crafted card like this to those you love.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
