OK I adore beautiful paper!  This NEW FREE Sale~A~Bration Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper is breathtaking!  Thick and sturdy with rich layers of metallic foil accents.. see how to take it up a notch with color!
Take it up a notch.. with a coordinating and WOW handmade gift-bag!  My husband asked if I had a gift bag for the beautiful necklace we had for our dear freind.. I looked at him and nearly crossed my eyes!  A store bought one?  Heck NO!  Creating a custom gift bag is a great way to wow while making the gift have an extra layer of elegance (saving $$ too!).
Using the new Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper to Create this beautiful hand stamped card:
~  Cut one piece of the Springtime copper floral to 5" x 3-3/4" and color in with the Stampin' Blends in Bermuda Bay Blends combo, Night of Navy Blends Combo and the Old Olive Blends Combo.  I found that starting with the darker of the two colors first to highlight and add depth then cover and blend with the lighter color worked best.
TOOL TIP:  ~  I found that the colors ran over the copper foil lines.  Being that our Stampin' Blends are Alcohol Markers and they will not wipe away.  Use the Color Lifter pen to run over the foil lines to lift the color off - I had a napkin near to wipe off the ink as the lifter liquidated it (if that makes sense).
~  Add Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the flowers and leaves - the color seems to deepen (maybe it's just my love of sparkle though - lol).
~  Cut a Copper Foil Sheet to 4" x 5-1/4".  Die-Cut the Butterfly thinlit in the center using the Big Shot Magnetic Platform (holding right where I want it) and the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
~  Punch a banner end to a 1-1/2" strip of Night of Navy card stock with with the Triple Banner Punch.
~  Cover with the Embossing Buddy before stamping with Versamark ink the Flourishing Phrases greeting.  Cover with the Copper Embossing Powder.  Heat set to a high copper shine with our Heat Tool.
~  Layer the Copper die-cut piece behind the colored Springtime Foiled sheet with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere the die-cut butterfly across the top with the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
~  Adhere to the front of the Bermuda Bay card stock.

Create the Gift Bag:
~  Create so many sizes to create with the easy to use Gift Bag Punch Board!  Today I used an 8" x 10" of the Springtime Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper.
~  Using the guide to create a 'small' bag it fit our necklace gift box to a T.
~  Adhere with the Tear Tape for a strong hold.
~  Fussy cut a flower from the floral page.  Die-Cut the Butterfly from a foil sheet.
~  Tie the Night of Navy Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon (it's so silky!) through the holes I punched.
~  Cover the holes with a 1-1/2" strip of Copper Foil for a professional look.
~  I ran our of tissue paper.. here Paper Pumpkin comes to the rescue with a great pale blue tissue!

We count our friends as blessings... beautiful flowers in the garden of our lives.. Here our dear Abby deserves some beauty to honor her.
Our FIRST Bat Mitzvah!  With many friends of a variety of faiths or no faiths.. we were excited when a dear family friend invited us to her daughter's Bat Mitzvah.  Dear Abby and my kids attend bible study together weekly and it's so beautiful the friendships they've built.  Watching this girl walk in her faith, her heritage and more has been an honor and blessing.  As a Messianic Jew she walks in the faith of her family blood line and her faith in Christ, that she chose.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
