Moving Mountains stamping and wood burning

I've loved crafting for as long as I can remember.  With our summer plans and soon to hit Big Bear Lake, this handmade sign has been in the back of my mind.  My dad would say this about me, as my brother and mom often tried to wake me (I worked after school a full-time job, often arriving home very late at night.).  'Allow her to sleep, for when she wakes, she will move mountains'.  Nothing better than this stunning new stamp set, Waterfront, on this beautiful Walnut Hollow wood from Wood Burn Corner.  (See this Video of this process in under one minutes!)

Creating something different and fun is a perfect way for me to clear my mind yet fill my crafting heart.  

 ~  Stamping the Mountains in the new Gray Granite ink, stamp once and then again (before re inking) to create the shadowed landscape.
~  Stamp the landscape with the new Granny Apple Green ink.
~  Stamp the lake (same Stamping-Off technique used here) in the new Coastal Cabana ink pad.
~  Stamp the trees in the Granny Apple Green, using the same Stamping-Off technique.
~  Writing out the text in pencil I used the Walnut Hollow wood and the Wood Burn Corner burning kit.
~  Going slow, wearing a mask, a well ventilated room, good lighting.  I know I need practice but I do love the art of this and creating something so personal.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
