Today is Father's Day. Up at our favorite place our kids are cooking away, we have the world's best view, our kids sing songs they composed to their dad and we have fun little gifts to give him. One of my very favorite things about our Paper Pumpkin kits is that they are so timely.. creating this May kit with it's perfect masculine style and sentiments makes it so easy to appear timely (we made this at our Coffee and Cards back in May - lol!). When this Paper Pumpkin arrived I was overjoyed! My husband loves the mountains and this was ideal in it's look, it's ease and it's great saying. Between us, holidays like this can be challenging for my heart.. missing my Grandfather and Dad makes it hard to create. It shoes how my heart and soul is tied to my creating.
Creating this little artwork is a fun side passion of mine.. how our stamping can combine with my love of wood working.

I was the only girl in wood and metal shop as a kid. I also knew how to drill and plumb a bath tub by this time - lol. Sitting my my Father's knee, I worked along side of him creating custom Jacuzzi jet bath tubs. Let's just say, creating with tools is second nature. Create your own wood art with our amazing stamp sets!
~ Using the Waterfront stamp set stamp the mountains in Early Espresso ink.
~ Stamp the grassy area in the Granny Apple Green ink.
~ Stamp the water with our Coastal Cabana ink pad, alternate the inking... Technique: Stamping Off... stamp the image once in the Coastal Cabana ink pad then without re-inking turn the image and stamp again for a lighter stamp.
~ I love the sun stamped in the Mango Melody ink.
~ This greeting from the Country Road stamp set looks ideal with the Early Espresso ink pad.

A man's blessings are his children, aren't they? My husband John has five daughters and one son.
