My boy... allow me to introduce my sweet and strong 15 year old young man... Sal. He is the only boy with five sisters! I am doing everything I can to raise him to be a good man, a man of God, a hard working man.. I pray he is much like my beloved Grandfather. So when I was stuck with what to create this week.. he went right to this Geared Up Garage suite. So I wrangled him in to helping me do my Facebook.com/GettingCrafty.net LIVE (to his dismay!).
I grew up in Santa Maria and East Los Angeles, CA. Cars, vintage cars especially, are something I am passionate about and have passed down to my kids.

One of the things I love about our area is the local Cars and Coffee gatherings, the first and third Saturday of each month. My son and I love to discuss the many paint jobs on the cars, pin striping to metallic, multi layered color with glitter. It inspire this handmade card.
A unique color for these cool handmade Father's Day cards.
~ Stamp with Stazon black ink on the Silver Foil this Happy Father's Day and the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper the car (I looked for the lighter spot on this page of color).
TOOL TIP: Many asked my why I used the Stazon ink on this project. My son even knew - lol - with how much I create around him. First of all, stamping on Foil Sheets limits what ink - it's a non-porous surface and the alcohol based ink sitting on the top allows for it to dry and remain. Second, it smells like almonds - lol. Third, I try to use only one black on a project for ease and less chance of losing something (my son did comment on that as well - ha, ha ha!).
~ Die-Cut the Father's Day greeting and car using the coordinating Garage Gears Thinlits.
~ Stamp the oil splatter on the bottom of the Balmy Blue card.
~ Emboss with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder the Blueberry Bushel card stock.
~ Tear the side to create a 'tear it up' look.
~ Adhere the torn paper with the SNAIL adhesive and the Car and Greeting with the Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.
~ Using Glue Dots, rolled, adhere the Classic Garage Metal Element/key to the front. I love a good car show and so does my family!
~ Add that 'metallic' paint with our Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen.
