Vintage StampinUp Crafting Redone #TBT from 17 years ago!

Seventeen YEARS AGO y'all!!!! TWO Massive things were happening in my life... and would change the trajectory of our family... I was 9 months pregnant with my precious daughter andddd I joined Stampin' Up! (two weeks before giving birth to her!!).

So for TODAY's Throw Back Thursday #TBT we are grabbing the FIRST Catalog I owned and even demonstrated AND my sweet girl to recreate a hand crafted card from within this 2005/2006 Idea Book and Catalog.

This girllll y'all!!
My sweet (and spicy!) Genevieve is turning 17 next week (eek!).  She taught me the joy and adventures of raising a daughter (my mini me) who loves life and adventure.  She also has kick started my journey with Stampin' Up! and... 17 years later, we are still going strong!
In today's Throwback Thursday #TBT we are grabbing that very first catalog I ever had and my girl to create this hand crafted card for you!
First of all....
This catalog is DATED!  From the style to the colors and even the haircuts/color of those within... sooo much has changed in the card making and paper crafting world!  

Andddd my daughter was horrified at it all!
Creating with so much red and brown... the cards and projects in this catalog were all dark or super bright!
~  Scoring the Real Red card stock at 5-1/2", cutting at 4-1/4" with our Paper Trimmer.
~  Stamping the Very Vanilla card stock at 2"x4", in Early Espresso ink.  Accent with the Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker.  Distress with the Paper Snips along the edges (sooo old school!).
~ Frame in the Mossy Meadow at 2-1/4"x4-1/4" and Crumb Cake at 2-1/2"x4-3/4 with Stampin' Seal + adhesive.
~  Punch the Real Red card stock with the Ovals Punch and fold in the middle, using the Bone folder to make a firm impression.  Adhere with Stampin' Seal +.
~  Accent with the Solid Faceted Gems in the dark green, adhering the Early Espresso faux suede ribbon to the back.
~ Stamp the Stacked Stone in Real Red on the coordinating card stock and Early Espresso on the same.
~  Tear the Early Espresso card stock (4-1/4"x5-1/2") and using the Snips to add to the distressing.
~  Stamping the greeting in Real Red on Very Vanilla, frame with Real Red card stock 1/5"x3" distressed with the Paper Snips (sooo many fibers!!).  
I adore this Distinktive stamping that is exclusive to Stampin' Up! but I have to admit that I have NOT created a handmade card that has been in these colors in ages!!
My girl picked out the sample card from our Idea book and Catalog and I think we did a fine job of it.
