What a WILD Ride...

Do you know what a work of heART is?  

It's what I do.  

I am passionate about creating and connecting with others.  The medium of crafting is sooo important.  A timeless tradition that spans back to women creating and doing life TOGETHER since the dawn of time.

Maybe you didn't know that this is what crafting can do.  Card Making is so much more than just paper to ink.

 Weeks of prep and heART work went into these fun-filled goody bags.  Driving through the desert, my daughter and I enjoyed a fun-tunes filled road trip bonding time and knowing that on this and other roads, many women were driving to the same place we were - Big Bear Lake, CA for the Getting Crafty Retreat!

Starting our Getting Crafty Retreat off with Wine, Lemonade, Tea, Cheese and Appetizers...

then off to CRAFTING!!

Tables fill a room with these FABULOUS Goody Bags, Gifts and our FIRST Session of Card Making!!  I have a theory.. calories don't count when you are crafting - lol!

Here Monique hadn't had a successful kayaking experience so my daughter, on a paddle board joined her and I Saturday morning for a beautiful start to our day - BEFORE the crafting even began!

 Breakfast, Crafting, Card Making then into the Village for a fabulous cooking demo, samples - yum, shopping and laughter... 

Saturday was a BLAST with a Private Concert by Ted Williams and his history of music to amazing dinner, crafting sandwiching it all... to say we had fun is an understatement!

Using the Vellum on the Very Vanilla Note Cards makes for such an easy but dynamic creation!
~  Trim the printed, stunning and easy to use Vellum to cover the card front - a 3-1/2" x 5".
~ Adhere the vellum to the front of the card using the SNAIL adhesive (I usually 'hide' vellum adhesive, like the ' love this' card did.).
~  Adhere the 'Love This' card to the front of the note card with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.
~  Wow with our Take Your Pick tool and adhesive backed Pearl Jewels.

When Deborah voted for a different Memories and More card, I wanted to give it to her!  So here are the two cards she will receive in the mail - Happy Mail!  

Taking the strips I trimmed off of the front, this patterned Vellum really does jazz up the inside of the handmade card.   

A THIRD Card?!?  YES!!  I create while on my deck at the lake.. where my neighbors are, like me, enjoying the view.  I was excited to enjoy quite a few conversations on creating and our Therapy-in-training Dog.  So when my neighbor and I had finished the week out with many fun conversations, I wanted to gift her with a handmade card before we left the lake.
~  Using the Strips from a card created earlier in the week I framed the sides with this contrasting but coordinating colorful strip.
~  Adhering this pretty-in-pink Magnolia card to the card front with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.  
~  Use a Soft Sea Foam sticker to the front of this card along with some pretty leaves from this Memories and More collection.
~  Apply those pretty pearls with our Take Your Pick tool for easy crafting that is elegant.
