Soldiers are near and dear to my heart. With my Uncle Jack who served in Vietnam to cousins, friends and family who currently serve and some who've lost their lives... celebrating their return home is a joyous event! With the older song about tying a ribbon around the old oak tree (and we have many oak trees here in Thousand Oaks, CA - it's actually illegal to cut them down!). I wanted to celebrate our soldiers and their loved ones.. they are genuine heroes!

I want start by showing you this NEW and amazing Fluid 100 Cotton Watercolor Paper - it's on the Right. The left is our Whisper White card stock. WOW - the difference in color and look is pretty amazing. The Fluid really highlights the color of our Pigment Sprinkles and gives a truer image.
~ Stamping this Artfully Aware ribbon image on the Fluid 100 Watercoloring Paper is so dreamy!!
~ Using a Paper Pumpkin box I sprinkle the Pigment Sprinkles in Daffodil Delight on the image.
~ Spritz with our Stampin' Spritzers.
~ Using the Heat Tool causes these intense color corners/edges I just love while setting the image quickly.
~ Layer over the Basic Black card stock with SNAIL adhesive.
~ Raise and 'Eclipse' technique using Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.

Stamp the INSIDE of a hand stamped card.. it's a wonderful bonus. This also limits how much I have to write - lol... if you'd like to write more, just stamp the image in Daffodil Delight ink so you can write over it.
