Red Rose Day

I LOVE Roses... all colors but those with rich deep and bright colors, especially!!

So HAPPY RED ROSE DAY!!
Here is my card in nod of this holiday... what a day to celebrate... hmmm.. to pick or buy??
That is the question... (about my Red Roses... lol)
With our Basic Black (#121045) card stock as the base, this card comes to life.  With our NEW and Beautiful Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (#126926) this retro vibe card comes together!
I love my Hallmark Holiday App - it gives me many reasons to celebrate!!  Here, the Red Rose Day is a fun change to the every-day!
Our NEW Simply Pressed Clay (#130685), Buttoms and Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds and my Cherry Cobbler Re-Inker, my Embossing Buddy to help.  These Red Roses come to life!
Rub and Roll the ReInker into the white air-drying clay.  It will lighten the color with the white clay - so after you add and rub - feel free to add more to darken it to the desired color.  (I'm using a plastic sandwich bag here but gloves work better...)
The Embossing Buddy allows for a buffer, helping the flowers to pop out.  I didn't like the powder look to the exterior so I 'fixed it' with our Aqua Painter (#103954) and Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad (#126966) - it took the powder off and added to the color.
Sweet Essentials stamp set (#132085) is ON SALE and 25% OFF (Until the End of June!).  This sweet Congratulations stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink on Very Vanilla (#101650) card stock.  CLICK HERE and see our Amazing Specials - for a limited time!!  Remember you can Shop 24/7 and even earn Frequent Buyer Program Points!!
I'm not the type of girl who washes dishes with gloves on and this happened to be a dish washing type of moment.  I wanted to deepen the color and did so with my bare hand - lol - here is the inky finger result!  (Susie, my inky-fingered up-line came to mind when I saw the results... lol.  Susie was the 42nd person to ever sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and is celebrating her 25th Anniversary with the company!)
Adding the adhesive backed Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) this now has a luster and elegance.  They are so easy to apply and add so much!!
($4.95 for 150 pearls in three sizes!!)
This elegant card is sure to WOW whomever receives it!  These Red Roses are sure to never die, are classic and elegant and have no maintenance!

Roses are timeless, easy to grow (another reason they are my favorite), colorful and fragrant.  Dewy mornings on my porch with a cup of tea or coffee... the smell of our roses come early Spring, it's a mom's dream come true (until the sound of our kids screaming make me go inside - lol).

Best Friend

A fellow stamper posted the cutest pair or sneakers and when I saw the picture on Facebook, I suggested making it a card! (of course, lol).  I thought it'd be fun to create a card and show her what I was thinking.
What do YOU think of this?!?!
Leave me a comment and let me know!
With our New Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper (#129310) as a fun Melon Mambo graphic patterned paper to use!  Layered over our Basic Black card stock (#121045) this Melon Mambo Pattern POPS!!
Our NEW Smoky Slate card stock (#131202) is lighter than our Basic Grey and really looks edgy with this Argyle embossing folder (#127750) raises and embosses a fun and edgy texture to the card.  Cut on the bias allows for another graphic element.

Layering the Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape for a fun slightly shiny patterned accent glues the look all together!  Washi tape is uber trendy and all the rage.. see our fun varieties when you look at page 171 of our New Catalog!
Our New Label Love (#130622) stamp set has this fun BFF stamp.  I liked the lines and young feel of this image.  Stamping our Black ink (#126980) on Whisper White card stock (#100730) and using our New Artisan Label punch (#130920) that coordinates with this stamp set makes attaining a sharp image, easy - peasy!!
Here are the cute sneaks to inspire this card!  It was fun playing with this card to create a similar look and feel to these shoes!
Our New Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds (#131272) aren't my favorite tools yet - I'm determined to play with it and see if I can master it!  The Simply Pressed Clay (#130685) and our re-inkers to change it up - you can create these colored buttons!  See page 167 of our New Catalog and marvel at the new crafting fun!

One of my first attempts wasn't horrible but I'm going to have to play with these molds... if it is mastered, I'm going to love it (lol).
Here is a Bold, Bright, Graphic and Edgy card that reminds me of the sneaks Michelle posted!  I couldn't resist a dash of bling with our Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (#127555) and our adhesive backed Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a dash of sparkle!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
