Have fun with either the Textured Embossing Folders or our Very Vintage Designer Buttons and adhesive backed Pearl Jewels. Here a fun twist on this image was to frame it with these lovely accents over the stunning Sahara Sand Lace Trim.

Water-coloring can happen on regular card stock but will have a better image using the Watercolor Paper.  Here the image will have a damp, slightly blurred image when you ink the stamp with the Sahara Sand ink pad then (holding it away from your crafting area) lightly spritz it with water using our fine mist Stampin' Spritzer.
Your spritzed image will take on that softened, vintage hand-stamped look.
Stamping it on the Watercolor Paper will absorb the excess water and hold up to the excess of moisture.  I did the same thing with the sentiment.
Die Cut this stamped image with the coordinating and *soon-to-retire Labels Collection Framelits in yourBig Shot Magnetic Platform and Die-Cutting Machine.  I will miss this stamp set (and hoard it for my private collection!!).  Score this stamp set before they are GONE!
Layered over the stunning ribbon, the adhesive backed Pearl Jewels and Very Vintage buttons add a whimsical accent to the card.
The *Beautifully Baroque embossing folder to create texture that frames the elegant stamped image with ease thanks to my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.

2-Step Stamping is easier than ever with our Photopolymer options in stamp sets.  Starting with the Pistachio Pudding ink pad I stamp the leaves.  Layer in the Crisp Cantaloupe inked blossoms.  Add some pretty 'distressing' with this polka dot strip in Baked Brown Sugar ink.  This is and the sentiment really do say it all, that You are Amazingly Amazing!
Continuing with the vintage vibe add the Burlap Ribbon for a fun texture and interest.  Layer a 1" strip of (one of my very favorite papers) the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper, and a 1/2" strip of the Gold Glimmer Paper cut with a banner like edge.  The Very Vintage Designer Button over the Burlap Ribbon would look great if the Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine would tie through the holes but they are too thick.  So tie a knot over the button for a similar look.

This is a fun rubber stamp collection with an optical illusion sun element.  Much like art of the early 90's - this sun will move!  I think that this is so cool! (Try this - move your mouse up and down looking at this image... it will MOVE!! - How COOL is that?!?!)

A stamp set that is designed to layer... hand-stamping the Daffodil Delight sun on the Whisper White card stock gives me a great base.  Layer the Kindness sentiment over in the Jet Black Stazon ink.  This looks so sharp!  Add 'grass' in the bubble element and leaves in Old Olive ink.  This trio of colors are stunning and, thanks to my Color Coach, I look like a stylish stamper!
I really love the look of these Gold Basic Metal Buttons.  Adding one to the center of the sun using the Glue Dots is a fun textural element with an addition of a trendy metallic accent.  (Buttons are a fun and easy accent that is timeless in style and beauty.)  Adhere this to the Basic Black card stock base using the Glue Dots and you have quickly created a hand-stamped, stylish wow card that thanks someone for their kindness.  (Quick and stylish??  That's awesome!!)

Vintage traveling hand-stamped card

Trains.. they run in my family.  Literally!!  Many of my family has kept and still keeps trains going through out the United States!  My beloved Pappa (Grandpa) was a train engineer and retired after over 30 years of service (supporting his family from the Depression Era until Retirement), my Dad and Uncle worked along side him when they were younger, even now my cousin Gary is a train man!!  So when I created this cool, vintage and masculine card they came to mind and just in time for Father's Day!
Create this Vintage Travel card with:
Dictionary Background Stamp (wood 130348/clear 130351)
Traveler Stamp Set (wood 134510/clear 134513)
And Many More stamp set (wood 134273 /clear 134276)
Whisper White card stock (100730)
Smoky Slate card stock (131202)
Smoky Slate ink pad (131179)
Basic Grey ink pad (126981)
Basic Metal Buttons (133319)
Stamping Sponges (101610)

RECEIVE YOUR OWN COPY of the New Idea Book and Catalog when You EMAIL ME your name, number and the best time to call, I will send it with a hand-stamped gift!!
I love all things vintage - especially when it comes to trains!  With it being a family business - memories of my waving to the trains and holding my Pappa's hand as we watched them... it's a dear to my heart memory.  It also goes to show that men never grow too old - that with that child at heart feeling they still find joy in trains!

Here, thanks to the Color Coach pairing the Smoky Slate and Basic Grey as monochromatic mates, I created a classic card that works for Father's Day, Masculine Birthdays and Bon-Voyage wishes!

Stamp this Whisper White card stock (cut down to 5" x 3-3/4") with the Dictionary Background stamp in Smoky Slate ink.

Stamp this classic train from the Traveler stamp set in Basic Grey ink over the lighter colored Dictionary print.
My beloved Pappa and Daddy are in heaven.  So this isn't a Father's Day card for me this year.  It was a fun option at our recent card class and some did make this into a Father's Day card.  Don't Miss OUT on my Fun Classes!!  See the Upcoming Coffee & Cards on the 18th and MORE Classes when you CLICK HERE!

With a cool stamp set like the new And Many More from the New Idea Book gives me 23 options on what I want to say!!  Happiness Always works as an Anniversary Card for some friends of ours.

Distress the White card stock and sentiment stamped Smoky Slate card stock with my Stamping Sponge dipped in the Basic Grey ink pad and rubbed along the edges of the pages.

The Basic Metal Buttons adhere with Glue Dots and add a masculine look while continuing the vintage vibe of this card.

No matter if you grew up with trains in the family, had a dad or brother who played with trains or just love them for yourself and your next generation.. this classic and cool card is a great way to say so much.  Having fun in our card making classes is a great way to have me time while blessing others.  Creating a masculine and vintage card is great for so many uses... I hope you have fun creating these, too!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
