This new Brokeh Technique is fun and easy but pretty messy - lol.  It creates a photo image of bubble like images like light reflecting.

Create a bubble like stencil.  Using our Window Sheets and the Circle Framelits on the Big Shot Magnetic Platform and Die-Cutting Machine you can create it in any method that you want.  You want a random look and with the variety of Circle Framelits you can do that easily!
Laying the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper down (it's super trendy to stamp on photographs).  This collection of Designer Series Paper is images - like photographs - that match our colors!  YAY!

Using your stencil to create bubbles is easy.  With your Stampin' Sponges in the Whisper White craft ink pad.  Rub to create these bubbles.  You can move your stencil around to overlap as you deem fit.
Your surface and fingers will get pretty messy.  See my blog for more on this technique!
What a lovely image!  Creating this base gives me freedom on what to add my sentiment or other accents.  Stamping the 'I think you're pretty swell' sentiment from the Big on You stamp set looks great.  It's easy when you have all the tools on hand and looks clean and pretty.

Oh, how I love (a few things) from Rubber Stamping to Paper Crafting to my Friends and Team to Card Making and to Learning a New Technique... so combine all of my loves (besides my family and reading) into one hand-crafted project!  This fun new Bokeh technique is all the rage.  It is supposed to mimic the light rays/bubbles in photographs and looks so cool.  While being easy and fun it is way messy - lol.  So get prepared to ink up those fingers when you do this cool new technique for a WOW hand-stamped card.

Thanks to the help of my Color Coach - it paired the Soft Sky with Rich Razzleberry.  This helps to design a WOW hand-stamped card that is stylish in color.

I introduced this technique in a Sneak Peak to my Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Stampers Newsletter last week.  It is such fun to see how different you can make this project.  You, too, can be part of this newsletter and see the exclusive tutorials, discounts and more - for FREE!
Start by Sponging the Whisper White card stock (4"x 5-1/4") with the Soft Sky ink and the Rich Razzleberry ink in a fun pattern.  Keep each sponge with their stamp pad - to avoid mixing the colors on the ink pad.

At our recent Team Meeting (the Last Saturday afternoon of each month it even includes dinner) we created awesome hand-stamped cards, had awards, door prizes, tutorials, ideas, fun and crafting - whew - we even did swaps of cards as a bonus fun accent to the meeting!  I couldn't resist going an extra fun mile to deliver a WOW hand-stamped card that told my dear friends how very AWESOME they are!!  I would love to have YOU Join My Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Team - it's a great deal and 9 years ago last week I signed up to get the discount and have been blessed with so very much more.
Create the bubble like technique of Bokeh needs a circle filled template.  Using a Window Sheet (this makes it easy to see where the bubbles go and over lap) and the Circles Collection Framelits you can create any form of random pattern.  Using the Circles Collection Framelits on the Big Shot Magnetic Board and Die-Cutting Machine it's quick and easy to create a custom stencil!  (Wash off, re-use and keep this stencil for future use!)

This technique is allllll about the layers and random look.  So see how it started out and as each layer is added, moving the stencil around to find the 'perfect' look/spot.

I started out using the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad to create the base 'pale' bubbles.  It did pick up the colors sponged on the base.  I would recommend allowing the first sponged base to dry for a while before adding the Whisper White craft ink. See the bottom first box above.

It soooo needs more, more interest and contrast.  Using a the template in the Soft Sky ink pad to crate a new layer of bubbles overlapping the Whisper White ones.

Stamping the sentiment from the Big News stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink so highlight how awesome My Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Team is!  Add more interest using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the 2013-15 Sequin Assortment to add sparkle.
I did warn you - lol.  Yes, you will get MESSY!  Sometimes it is worth getting messy to create a dynamic hand-crafted card, isn't it?

The new Artisan Embellishment Kit is a lovely combination of romantic embellishments.  The two die-cut sheets are breath-taking!  With the Roses as a fun way to highlight how you can have multiple uses for these die-cuts, like a stencil!

Use the Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride ink pads with the Stampin' Sponges.  Hold the stencil/die-cut down on the Very Vanilla card stock.  Dab the pattern (don't rub, it's delicate) with the Pink Pirouette ink first.  Add depth with the sponging of the Blushing Bride ink.
I am so in love with their love story!  He knew how special she was and had carried the ring for ages to propose on their 7 month Anniversary!  I'm so excited to see all that God has in store for these two.
Accent the stenciled roses with the Blushing Bride rosette trim.  With 1 yard of these lovely roses, use multiples or a single rose like here.
With our oldest and Tiffany having become engaged this New Year - so my mind comes to some fun new outfits in my future - lol.  I adore this elegant dress - and if I can get it, I will so be wearing this for upcoming wedding related events!  It's easy to see where this dress can inspire a hand-stamped card.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
