Friendship is the Jewels...

Friendships are what carry me....
my friends, they shine and are rare jewels in this dark world...
they light up my life and brighten my day!
 
On National Jewel day, I couldn't resist creating this card..
National Jewel Day
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but that girl may have fallen for some clever marketing. With a whole world of colorful jewels, who says diamond is king? Certainly not the royal family. Fergie, the Duchess of York, received a ruby engagement ring from Prince Andrew, while Princess Diana donned a sapphire.
(I, too, have a Sapphire engagement ring - lol.)
I've always dreamed of a rainbow tennis bracelet... all varying colors of sapphires... they come in all colors except red - that's a ruby!

Using our Basic Jewels Rhinestones and Permanent Markers in a blue, orange and yellow... I created my own!
This is an easy and fun way to add color and shine to any project!  My kids love coloring these jewels in and it's a fun way to have them participate.
With the Distressed Dots background stamp and Island Indigo ink these dots POP on a Sahara Sand card stock.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
