Roses at a Pool Party

Spring is in the Air...
at our home the roses are starting to bud,
roses are soon to grow...
as a Favorite flower of mine, I've tried to grow Blue Roses for years - but they never grow.  Sigh... but I digress...
 
I wanted to capture Spring with this card....

Our Artisan Embellishments Kit and Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock (both Spring Mini) and the Embossing Manhattan Flower Folder in the Big Shot create this card.  It's layered over a Crumb Cake card stock base.
 
The Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock with a monochromatic, lighter colored center.  When embossed and using the Stampin' Sanding System the flowers become a lighter color.  The distressed look of the paper is pretty, too. 
To make the lace from the Artisan Embellishment kit wrinkle up, weave the paper rose in through the lace and then tie the metal wire rose stem and it will scrunch up.
Mini Glue dots placed along the back of the rose stem will hold down the lace to the Core'dinations embossed and sanded card stock. 
 
I couldn't resist applying (with the use of the Mini Glue dots) this stunning Vanilla Resin Rose to the top.  It's a vintage look and easy to accomplish!

Adding the Love Designer Ticket from the Artisan kit and it's a romantic, love inducing card, isn't it?!?!
 
This lace has the cutest little flowers woven in and a subtle shimmer to the vanilla lace ribbon.  Don't miss this deluxe embellishment kit... it's too cute to miss out on!
  By Summer my garden will be in full bloom. 
Roses and flowers growing, butterflies fluttering, humming birds feeding.... but sadly, no blue rose in sight.. (lol).

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
