Flower Power Day

I love our soon-to-be gone Flower Build A Bouquet kit!  It's in the Occasions Mini Catalog that will go away come June. Today we had a blast of a Private Class creating these beautiful bouquets and making some of the flowers into a beautiful wreath! See the fun we had below.

I loved creating these bouquets with amazing ladies today. I will post the tutorial video later (in holding my girls who have a fever right now). I also have my Fashion Friday post here tomorrow (it's done... Sick kids take a priority). Happy Crafting!

Amazing Fashion and Flowers hand-stamped card making tutorial

Create a fashionable 'amazing' flower hand-stamped card that is sure to delight.  With a beautiful new stamp set Painted Petals stamp set in the new Occasions Catalog.  Finding inspiration from one of my loves - fashion - this feminine, pretty and yes, it looks painted, hand-stamped card.  If you, like me, wondered if you needed another flower stamp set - yes, yes you do - I'm in love with this delicate and beautiful new two-step stamp set.  Happy Fashion Friday - enjoy my loves of crafting and fashion.. sigh.

One fabulous stamp set, with 13 pretty stamps, come together to create beautiful works of art!  A simple tip - I love the new options in our stamp sets - yay!  You can pick exactly which type of stamp set you want.  With two-step stamping I like to opt for the Photopolymer so I can see (clearly - lol) where I am stamping.  Lay your stamps over the sample lay out - here this will perfectly place and position my leaves for easy stamping.
Inspired by the pretty dress (see below) this will stamped down the center.  Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool for ALL of my cards - I'm addicted to scoring my cards for easy folding.  Here it gives you the exact placement to be centered with a score line as a guide for my stamping.  I love this tool - it saves my cards and makes for dynamic results.
The Photopolymer stamps allow me to easily connect the two sides - yay - easy peasy!!  Photopolymer stamps can not use Stazon ink - so using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad allows for that crisp, precision look with ease.
Laying the flowers on the sample lay-out (as done with the leaves) and stamping the flowers in the Pacific Point ink pad it makes for an easy assembly.  Two-step stamping creates beautiful layered and multi-colored look.  Add this 'You are amazingly amazing' sentiment (this set has a great collection of greetings - I'm in LOVE!!) for a neutral card with a fashionable flair!
Fill the line where it was scored with a small line of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue and layer the Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  This is a clean, stylish ribbon that ties this card together.
Le-sigh... oh I love, love, love this lovely dress!  You can sooo see why it inspired this hand-crafted card.  No matter where you find your inspiration, create something pretty that will fill a spot in your heart and bless others.  JOIN ME in taking the challenge of blessing others this year.  Send a hand-stamped card to those in your life and see how that small effort will make a big impact!  With our mailboxes filled to the brim with solicitations and bills, bless someone with something that celebrates with, encourage and just-because they are 'amazing' in a hand-crafted card.
OK ~ Take your card up a notch.  It sooo doesn't need it, but sometimes you want to add a subtle luminous accent.  Our adhesive backed Pearl Jewels is a create and elegant accent.  (I'd so wear a strand of my pearls with a dress like this, wouldn't you?)  Using the end of my Paper Snips I scoop under the adhesive to grab hold of the pearl for precision placement.  Simply use your finger to push it down after you've centered it where you want it to go.

Fashion Friday inspired hand-stamped card

I love, love, love fashion!  Dressing well is as easy as dressing in one's yoga pants.  I dress once a day so I might as well dress well.  So on this Fashion Friday inspired card, this pretty combination of rich purples/wine colors with soft blush drew me.  No matter what inspires you, translate it into fun paper crafting, like this hand-stamped, fashion-inspired card.

I LOVE this new Park Lane Designer Series Paper!!  With this rich new Blackberry Bliss In-color and fun floral patterns.  Using this pretty floral paper to coordinate with this fabulous fashion inspired card.
Using the Blushing Bride and Blackberry Bliss (from the In-Color collection) Stampin' Write Markers to color in this 'blank' flower printed page - it lends itself to coordinate with the outfit.  Coloring and following the same lines of the printed flowers I left, on purpose, dashes of white to peek through.

Adhered with the SNAIL adhesive to the pretty Blackberry Bliss printed page, this gives an elegant, rich look to the card.
A Dozen Thoughts stamp set has a wonderful, must-have collection of sentiments that fit our various punches.  Here it coordinates with the Modern Label punch.  Using the Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Markers to color the sentiment, it stamps for a feminine and elegant look on the Blushing Bride card stock.

Using the Stampin' Dimensional adhesive to raise the sentiment - it adds some depth to the card.  The dash of metal in the Silver 1/8 ribbon pulls in the fun necklace accent to the Fashion Friday Inspired card.

Mail a Rich Bouquet of Flowers in this hand-stamped card

Rich jewel tones can be a great way to brighten someone's day with warmth, color and beauty.  Giving jewels can be quite the endeavor... give a similar feel when you gift rich colored flowers!  Creating rich colored, hand-stamped cards and sending them is a great way to give a lasting flower.  So go ahead, send a bunch of flowers with a hand-stamped card.
Create this card with:
People Like You stamp (#133215)
Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#130134)
Shimmery White card stock (#101910)
Basic Grey card stock (#121044)
Basic Black ink (#126980)
White Stampin' Chalk Marker (#132133)
Brights Stampin' Write Markers (#131259)
Neutrals Stampin' Write Markers (#131261)

Layer the Rich Razzleberry fan like paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack over the Basic Grey card stock.  This fan mimics the flower shape from the People Like You stamp.
I love that flowers often have a shimmer and extra velvety beauty... add this to your card when you use the stunning and subtle sparkled Shimmery White card stock!  The subtle shimmer is hard to photograph but adds a richness and elegance to your stamped projects!

Using the Basic Black ink and the People Like You stamp (from the Occasions 'Let's Celebrate' catalog) you stamp it on the Shimmery White card stock.

Color the blossoms in with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker from the Brights Stampin' Write Marker collection.  Color the stem with the Old Olive from the Brights Stampin' Write Marker collection and highlight the frame on the sentiment with the Basic Grey Stampin' Write Marker from the Neutrals collection.

Accent this dark flower with loose lines that mimic the petal shape.  The White Stampin' Chalk Marker (from the Occasions Mini Catalog) is a great way to add depth and drama with your colorful or darker projects.  This effect also mimics the patterned Rich Razzleberry Designer Series paper for a beautiful coordinated look.

(One of my FAVORITE Tools is the Color Coach #130118 that aides in a color wow project.  I use it on almost every project and here the Rich Razzleberry with Basic Grey and Old Olive look amazing!)

Pulled together with a dash of sparkle, this rich bouquet of flowers is easy to send, sure to brighten the day of someone who makes the world a better place.  I love how these flowers will last and not drop any petals on my shelf (lol).  Sending rich jewel colored gifts is a great way to wow and show how much someone means to you.  Join me in creating pretty and dramatic hand-stamped cards and brightening someone's day!

Fall Flower Wishes

Inspired by the wallpaper my grandparents had in their home, this vintage Fall flowered card is sure to deliver sweet greetings!  I couldn't resist doing something fun and different with this card that still lent itself to the elegance of the design... Take a twist  when you create a shaped card!!

What do you think?!?!  Leave me a comment and let me know!  Share this and me with your friends and family... Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ this and FOLLOW ME on these avenues, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and more!
To create this card you will need:
Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper (#130144)
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
Tangerine Tango card stock (#111349)
Tangerine Tango stamp pad (#126946)
Crisp Cantaloupe stamp pad (#131176)
Soft Suede stamp pad (#126978)
Aqua Painter (#103954)
Dazzling Details (#124117)
Antique Brads (#117273)
Victoria Crochet Lace Trim (#118481)
Regarding Dahlias stamp set (#130324)
Labels Collection Framelits (#125598)
Adhere the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper to the front of the Tangerine Tango card.  Run through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and the largest of the Label Collection Framelits.... making sure to leave the folded edge with area for the seam to remain intact.

Stamping the Regarding Dahlias flower on Very Vanilla card stock with the Soft Suede ink ties in the pretty patterned Venetian Romance paper.

Paint, with the Aqua Painter, Crisp Cantaloupe across the leaves in the direction they flow.  Then go and do the same with the Tangerine Tango ink accenting the edges of the leaves.. this doesn't take long, creating a soft water colored flower.

Adding sparkle with our Dazzling Details Glitter Adhesive is easy when you place a drop in the lid of the Antique Brads and use the Aqua Painter to blend across the flower.

Cut out with our Paper Snips for a flower that appears to move.  Layer it with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive so it raises above the pattern while coordinating with it.
Add the Victoria Crochet Trip to the edges for a blended edge that continues the vintage look.  Tucking the Antique Brad so that the edges open under the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper... a beautiful accent.
Stamping inside this card has left a ton of room to write a note.  The shape of the card is a fun twist on your standard card.
Celebrate the Fall Season when you send a friend this fun, fast and vintage card.  I love this paper, stamp and how it all comes together, don't you??

I love that you came by today!  Please come back often, visit and bring others with you.  I try to post daily... so join me in this crafting walk we call life!

Vintage wall paper inspired this fun and vintage card.. what will inspire YOU??  Leave me a comment and let me know!  Do something fun and different when you celebrate your friendship and in the season's colors!  Happy Fall Y'all!!

Purple and Blue Poppies Card

Take a twist on the norm.  Celebrate nature and its many splendors with pretty natural stamps... and then put a Rock Star Spin on it when you change it up!!

What do you think?!?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share the fun and me... Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ this... and me... and Follow Me on these and YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and more, too!
Pleasant Poppies (#129499) paired together with Perfect Plum, Rose Red and Marina Mist create this great look... and all thanks to my Color Coach (#130118) for this combo!!
I'm having a water color moment with this card.. grabbing my Aqua Painter (#103954) and my Perfect Plum ink (#126963), Rose Red ink (#126954) and Marina Mist ink (#126962).  Squeeze the lid on these ink pads when the pad is closed.  A dollop of ink will remain in the lid and becomes a wonderful palate of ink to use when water coloring this image.

Start with the Rose Red in the centers of these flowers.  Then add the Marina Mist, building up from the center... finishing the edges with Perfect Plum ink and highlighting the stripes...
Layering the Perfect Plum card stock (#101889) with the accent colors... Rose Red card stock (#102544) frames the Perfect Plumb inked 'Thinking of You' greeting from the Sweet Essentials stamp set (#126457) stamped on the Mariana Mist card stock (#119682) for a cohesive look.
Stamp and color the inside!  Using Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) to create an inner liner (so that the Soldiers can easily write inside this darker colored card).  Adding the color to the inside goes to show that you care enough... while making for a WOW card!
The great thing with Water Coloring is that each project is an original... each looks different.. can be soft or more bold...
Inside or out... this card is sure to POP and lift some one's day!!  Did you miss out on this class?!?!  YOU ARE INVITED!!  Join any (or all) of my future classes!!  CLICK HERE to see the fun line-up of classes, Holiday Cards, Clubs and more... and Join In on the FUN!!

Etcetera

Feature a beautiful card, Yes please..
At a Recent Event a dear friend and fellow crafter, Adonna, created this beautiful swing card.  A true romantic, she's the princess in a castle (she has two sons and a strappin' hubby - she's a real queen in her home and lives in what looks a little like a castle).

Knowing her is such a blessing and the moment she came I couldn't resist showing her the new Thinlits and the Etcetera Designer Series Paper (#130129).  She was beyond excited to play with them.  Her Results really wow, don't they?
She quickly fell in love with this stunning paper and Baked Brown Sugar ink/color (#131174).  The stunning coordinated Ruffled Ribbon (#130022) allows for an uber girly touch!
Vintage, Classic, Elegant.. that surmises my friend.  These Retired (I was so sad to see them go!!) from the Occasions Catalog Flower Trim adds the perfect vintage element to this moving card!

She featured it on her Facebook page... awww - don't you love it when style is noted??  Hers is uber elegant and classic.  This MOVING Card is easier than ever to create and is sure to WOW!

I'm sooo looking forward to herrrr Private Class!!  Join Her - Host Your OWN Private Class and Craft Some FUN!!  Isn't her style all that?!?!

Sharing other's creations is such a fun way to celebrate one another!  Raise a glass to her style and results!  How do YOU Share Your Accomplishments?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share THIS on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Email and more!  Join ME with a Follow on those Channels and YouTube, InstaGram, LinkedIn and more!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
