Vintage Reindeer Hand-Stamped card

I adore the Victorian era... where crafting was common and appreciated.  Lace, jewels, pearls and beauty was sought after.  The lack of indoor plumbing though... lol.  So this non-traditional, vintage hand-stamped Christmas card was inspired by this very era!

To create this lovely card you need:
Very Merry Tags stamp set (#130402)
1-3/4" Circle Punch (#119850)
Pearl Jewels (#129324)
Very Vintage Designer Buttons (#129327)
Simply Scored Scoring Tool/Board (#122334)
Etcetera Designer Series Paper (#130129)
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
Old Olive card stock (#100702)
Baked Brown Sugar card stock (#131296)
Baked Brown Sugar ink (#131174)
Pretty Print Embossing Folder (#132175)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
Hot Glue
Stamping the Deer element from Very Merry Tags with Baked Brown Sugar ink on the Very Vanilla card stock.  Punch it out with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch.

Score and fold this Old Olive card stock for a rich card base.  Emboss this Baked Brown Sugar card stock with the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and the Pretty Print embossing folder.  This gives a pretty elegant element to this card.

Adhere this 1" strip of ruler images from the Etcetera Designer Series Paper for a 'count down' feel to this Christmas card.
Using the Simply Scored Board score this 12 x 1-1/4" strip of Etcetera lace paper. Fold and adhere the ends with the aide of the Hot Glue gun.  (I warn that Hot Glue is HOT - proceed with caution!!)  Adhere the embossed Baked Brown Sugar card stock and using the Hot Glue make a large circle.  Layer the scored 'lolly/rosette' on the top for a cool embellishment.

Using the Hot Glue, adhere this punched Deer accent to the top.  Apply the tiny adhesive backed Pearl Jewels to the antlers for a pretty subtle accent.  Adding the pretty Very Vintage button to the top of the card with the Hot Glue - the glue will peak through the button holes - so be careful!  Apply the adhesive backed pretty Pearl Jewels in two sizes to the bottom creates a balance to the card (the smaller pearls are the 'medium' size on the sheet of 150 pearls and these are connected with the adhesive allowing for an easier application).
Go vintage this year!  A non-traditional color scheme that brings out the feel of a traditional Victorian Christmas!

What a dear you are (lol) for coming by!  I try to post daily and hope that you will come by to visit, often.  Bring your family and friends along for the fun, too!

Celebrate this Holiday Season with a fun twist on the norm.  Honor eras that speak to your heart... send them out to those you love.  This card is a fun nod to the Victorian Era with it's pearls, lace and vintage elements.  I hope it warms your day and brings you an element of the vintage fun this Holiday season.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
