Seaside Thank You hand-stamped Card

I love that with rubber stamps, card stock, pretty papers and inks you can create a scene... here this Seaside card brings to mind my love of the beach and my desire to have a beach day!   See how this card is a great way to embrace the warmth and peace of the beach with a few surprises... giving me a quick stay-cation until I can hit the sand and waves.
Create this card with:
Baked Brown Sugar card stock (#131296)
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper (#132993)
Wetlands stamp set (#126697)
Baked Brown Sugar ink (#131174)
Costal Cabana ink (#131175)
Gold Encore ink (#132141)
Gold Baker's Twine (#132975)
Naturals Designer Buttons (#127554)
Stampin' Sponges (#101610)

Stamping these pretty water birds in Baked Brown Sugar ink on the Very Vanilla card stock.  Stamping the water reeds with the Gold Encore ink over the birds to one corner.
Stamping this Thank you for your kindness sentiment with Baked Brown Sugar ink on the bottom of the Very Vanilla card stock.

You can see that even though I stamp daily, I can even mess up by rocking when stamping... leaving this line.

Get creative with the way you cover this sentiment!  Using the Naturals Designer Series Button in its rich wood look with the Gold Baker's Twine.  This rich Baker's Twine is a natural linen look with pretty gold accents.  The Gold also ties into the Gold stamped reeds for a subtle, elegant accent.  Here the bow and natural button are the perfect 'cover' for my boo-boo.
Create this beach scene using the Stampin' Sponge.  Start with the Baked Brown Sugar ink and softly rub the Very Vanilla card stock from the bottom up to the feet of the birds.

Using the Stampin' Sponge to rub the Costal Cabana ink into the top of the birds, blending the colors as you rub so that the water crests the sand, just like you'd see at the beach!

The Stamped and Sponged 'stay-cation' that soothes my heart with a rubber stamp, pretty ink and paper trip to the ocean. Frame it with this cool new Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper strips for a cool accent that pulls the colors together.  We often find our toes in the sand until the sun sets... I love that this Retro Fresh paper embraces that feel!
Sigh... I live about 25 minutes from the beach and I love it!!  We used to live a couple of hours away and I'd often tote the kids and surprise my hubby at his office with a visit to the beach.  Now that we are so close, you can often find us making random trips to the sand, waves and seafood.  Here is our recent trip from a couple of weeks ago.. I'm feeling the yearning for the waves and sandy toes and see a trip, soon.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
