Catching fireflies.. we don't have this joy in Southern California. A dear friend in Michigan posted about the beauty of these flying fairy type bugs at night. I was inspired to create them for a recent card making class. Join Us as we create, connect and have crafting fun at our card making classes.

I simply adore this new Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating Everyday Jars Framelit Dies. I love that it is bundled to save 10% when you purchase the two together! (squee!) Here is a fun adaptation of what my friend is living in her new home.
How to create this pretty hand-stamped card:
~ Stamping with the Garden Green ink pad this Lovely As A Tree pine tree laid on it's side to create branches of a tree on this Smoky Slate Designer Series Paper (from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack).
~ Stamp the Jar of Love larger jar on the Vellum with the Black Archival ink pad.
~ Die Cut the handle (on the Silver Glimmer Paper) and jar (on the Vellum) with the Everyday Jars Framelits on the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform (to hold the framelit around the stamped image with ease).
~ Stamp the fire flies with the Black Archival ink pad on the Smoky Slate (Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack) patterned paper.
~ Use the Sponge Dauber and the Daffodil Delight ink pad to create this fun light up bum (lol).
~Adhere the vellum jar with glue dots on the rim and then cover it with the die-cut silver sparkle handle and mini glue dots. (Make sure to link the handle to the 'tree branches' and cover some hand-stamped fire flies.)

Take it up a notch. Stamping on the inside is a fun way to continue the card and have even less space to write (lol). Sometimes less is more, right?
Technique Idea:
~ It is so much fun to also stamp on the outside of our envelopes for a sneak peak on the beauty inside.
~ Even better... create a custom envelope in the Smoky Slate Designer Series Paper with the Envelope Punch Board.
