(I remember being pregnant and at my beloved Grandmother's funeral when well intention-ed people told me that 'she was in a better place'. I remember not wanting to hear that and getting angry. ) When people are sick or going through challenges, too... so recently I had four friends who are going through some major health issues and I wanted to send them a handmade card. I created this. It's simple but I really dig how it came out. I hope that you enjoy it, too. KISS... Keep It Simple Sweetheart (as my dad would have said). This is a KISS handcrafted card. I wanted to give a card when I dropped off dinners to two of my friends and was running out of time. I wanted a clean and elegant handmade card that said I cared. This card came to life.
Create this card with ease and show that you care by:
~ Score and fold with a Bone Folder a piece of Thick Whisper White card stock.
~ Stamp this Lilly from the Remarkable You stamp set and the perfectly said greeting from the in the Here for You stamp set in Black Archival ink pad on the card.
~ Color in the flower with your Aqua Painter in the Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi ink pads.
TECHNIQUE: When water-coloring, squeeze the closed ink pad to create a deposit of ink in the lid and use this to watercolor and the Aqua Pen/Painter. I also like to do a line around the leaves and then color the full leaf in after to create a natural shadow.
~ Add additional sparkle and depth with the Gold Wink of Stella glitter brush on the leaf edges. I also added the Clear Wink of Stella to the stem.
~ Take it up a notch!! See below:
~ WOW with this simple addition of Sparkle! So the card was elegant and lovely but needing something! Placing my handmade card (before adding the ribbon) into this box from my Big Shot Die-Brush so it contains the sprinkles from spreading on your work area and other projects. Tap your Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the side of a Bone Folder. Creating random but beautiful sparkle on your project in a fun random pattern. I did turn the box as I sprinkled it to create a random look.
Sparkle and Shine when you send love, wrapped up in a handmade card. This has the stunning metallic gold ribbon and sparkle from the Wink of Stella brushes. (Capturing sparkle in pictures is so challenging - but it really is quite lovely!!)
