Mirror Stamping Glass Mat Technique Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Card Making

I adore the beauty of hummingbirds.. and here I can deliver DOUBLE the beauty that they are!  A Mirror Stamping Technique, embracing the Glass Mat in this technique using the Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Expressions bundle and Heat Embossing.  Created in a recent Live.. we had fun designing this handmade card for double the pleasure!!

A Mirror Technique will have you looking at your stamps in a new way!

Recipe:

~  Using a Permanent Marker, I created a template!

~   Stamping on the Black card stock (4"x 2-3/8") using Vera Mark ink and liberally cover in our White embossing powder.

~  Stamping the GLASS MAT in our Stampin' Glass Mat Studio (FREE RIGHT NOW!) using the guides... in Versa Mark.

~  Applying the Basic White card stock (4"x5-1/4") across the Glass Mat to Transfer the Mirrored Image!

~  Cover liberally with the Black Embossing Powder.

~  Heat Set directly to the Glass Mat these two images.

~  Adhere together.

~  Stamp the greeting in Memento Black Ink (or Vera Mark and Black Embossing Powder) and Die-Cut with the Thoughtful Expressions die cuts and our Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

I love the Embossing Additions Collection and find it sooo helpful in Heat Embossing.

Copper on Copper is so dynamic while being classically beautiful.

Creating an elongated card is so easy to do!

~  8-1/2"x7" Thick Basic White card stock, scored on the 7" side at 3-1/2".

~  Copper Foil at 8-1/4"x3-1/4"

~  Naturally Gilded Designer Paper at 8"x3".

~  Powder the Naturally Gilded paper with the Embossing Buddy.

~  Stamp the Classic Letters in Versa Mark, cover with Copper Heat Embossing and heat set with the Heat tool.

~  Using the Blending Brushes and Daffodil Delight ink to create this ombre look.

~  Accent with the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the Loose Frosted Dot Embellishments in the Coordinating Daffodil Delight.

~  Do the same embossing buddy, stamping in versa mark on the Copper Foil with the Irresistible Blooms flowers, die-cut with the coordinated dies and adhere.

How fun is this distressed, mixed media vibe is??

The texture on the journal, combined with the Distinktive watercolor image creates a custom look on every journal.

~  Cover the surface of the journal with the Embossing Buddy from the Embossing Additions Tools kit.

~  Stamp the images from the Queen Bee and Watercolor World sets in Versa Mark ink pad on the cover.

~  Using the brushes in the kit to brush off excess powder BEFORE heat setting with our heat tool.

TOOL TIP:  Go over the image from a variety of directions to assure that it is heated across the full image.

It REALLY is just that easy... have grace if it has textures or this distressed or mixed media look as that is really a fun aspect to the texture of this journal.
