How fun is this distressed, mixed media vibe is??

The texture on the journal, combined with the Distinktive watercolor image creates a custom look on every journal.

~  Cover the surface of the journal with the Embossing Buddy from the Embossing Additions Tools kit.

~  Stamp the images from the Queen Bee and Watercolor World sets in Versa Mark ink pad on the cover.

~  Using the brushes in the kit to brush off excess powder BEFORE heat setting with our heat tool.

TOOL TIP:  Go over the image from a variety of directions to assure that it is heated across the full image.

It REALLY is just that easy... have grace if it has textures or this distressed or mixed media look as that is really a fun aspect to the texture of this journal.

Creating Joy with Cancer Fit!

To say that I am passionate about children and their battle with cancer is an understatement.  I am not near as passionate as Elle and the Boltons who created Cancer Fit, Inc.  Elle and Rob, along side of their children and other leaders in the community, passionately support kids in the midst of cancer and those who have overcome cancer.

Creating some JOY... yes!  

These stunning boxes are PACKED with All-Inclusive Crafting Supplies, personal stamping block, ink spot, adhesives, stamp sets (YES a BONUS Set is included in each box!), and full crafting kit!

 The Getting Crafty Family, each year, collects their own Paper Pumpkins that they ordered extra of or did not have a chance to create with and we package them up to donate to children who are laid up in hospitals fighting cancer through the holiday and New Year Season and Cancer Fit is our own personal Santa!

 This year, Stampin' Up! was so generous to have partnered with our Getting Crafty Family  to DONATE 20 Beautiful Paper Pumpkin Kits to be donated to Cancer Fit, Inc!!

With a quick flip of your wrist you can create something pretty amazing!  
~  Using the Whisper White card (3-3/4"x5") squiggle the background in Night of Navy ink with our Aqua Painter.  
~  Stamp the greeting and birds in the Night of Navy ink pad across the water colored background.  
~  Die Cut the wheel from the center of the Night of Navy card stock.
~  Adhere the Whisper White card stock to the Night of Navy with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.
~  Adhere the wheel with a Glue Dot.
~  Add glimmer with our Wink of Stella glitter brush.  
~  Die Cut the Whisper White light house (I love that I didn't stamp it, just using it as a negative - making it a positive!).
~  Adhere this to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.  

The simple Negative is such a Positive to this handmade card.  Creating something simple lends itself to a classic, elegant and timeless look.  I love this Sailing Home Bundle - so easy to create with.
