The Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper even sounds like it fits into the theme of a vintage Carnival Birthday Party!!

It's precious with these polka dots on one side and the other while circle dots (like the Say It Your Way stamp).  Accenting the invitation is the Perfect Pennant Stamp set in Real Red and Daffodil Delight inks.  The paper comes in a variety of Bright colors giving me whimsy and coordination for a vibrant yet vintage party invitation.

Tea Party Invitation

From a Birthday Party to Bridal Shower... Tea Parties are back and are meant to celebrate!!

Here is my twist on the Tea Party invitation... come and open it up... it is the ticket for a great invitation!
With a small 5oz. canning jar for the base... Painting the sentiment from the Tea Party stamp set (#129135) with Night of Navy and Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker so that I could capture part and not all of the sentiment.  Stamping this on our Tea Lace Paper Doily (#129399) for the top of this jar.  Hot Glue this on (but watch your fingers - I now have some nasty burns from this project.. eek!).   When you wrap the sides you can tie it up... here the white 1/4" Stitched Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon (#126877) and a side bow is ideal (and super cute).
Stamping this cure oval on our Etcetera Designer Series Paper (#130129) with our Night of Navy ink (#126970) for a great coordinated vintage look.
With our That's the Ticket stamp set (#131946) stamped twice a piece so they can back up to one another for a Birthday, Admit One and a Fill-In Ticket..

When you have all your pieces punched and ready to go (the Ovals Framelits Collection #129381 and Ticket Duo Builder punch #126883) this jar is ready to be assembled.

Wrapping the printed Etcetera Designer Series Paper's vintage ad page gives interest while the Tea Party covers the seam!
Backing up each item to one - another and a ribbon hot-glued in the middle... you can write the details of this event on either an attachment or the blank ticket.
Hot glue the ticket to the inside of the lid... adding our Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons to the lid and the bottom of the ribbon... this adds to the vintage feel and the buttons on the bottom of the ribbon to help the ribbon have some tension.

Tie this up with a trendy and vintage flair... from awesome buttons, beautiful stamps and coordinating punches/framelits... you can easily make a wonderful project/invitation/gift.  With room for more, from pictures to tea bags to more information on the event (where someone could be registered, etc.).
With the clear glass allowing a 'peak' inside.. excitement over receiving this amazing invitation is sure to abound!

Tea Parties with a twist... twist this lid and be amazed at what you can add inside!

50th Wedding Anniversary

Celebrate!
Life, Love, Unions, Births, Graduations, Longevity, Growth, Promotions... oh, the list goes on and on...
One of Myyyyy favorite celebrations is Anniversaries.  I am blessed to come from a lineage of long-love filled-Christ loving marriages.  So celebrating a monumental moment like a 50th Wedding is something I can't wait to jump on!
This 5"x7" Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) base is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder (#109129), Versa Mark watermark pad (#102285) and my Heat Tool (#129053).  This stunning Everything Eleanor stamp set (#124162) is versatile with elements and nature!
When my friend Deliz called and asked for my assistance with a situation, I was curious what she needed.  She described the invitations that she ordered on-line, that they looked amazing with raised gold and elegance "on-line" but when she received them they were flat, dull, little elegance or class... especially for her parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary!

We spent a little time and visited while building a card that she and her sister actually liked!  I love that I had time to do a custom order and help a friend in the process!
Embossing Gold Powder on our Brushed Gold card stock (#102935) is SUCH an elegant and rich look while being super easy to accomplish!
Layering this 'Gilded edged' Gold Embossed 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punched Very Vanilla piece is an elegance base for the Brushed Gold card stock Numbers punched with my BigZ dies (#127553)and Big Shot (#113439).
Printing the Invitation on the back and embossing the envelopes is a great way to encourage others to join in on the Celebrations!

My favorite childhood memories are wrapped around our family reunion for our extended family from across the nation.  I was nine when my grandparents celebrated 50 years of love, overcoming challenges of a lost child, family passing away and growing anew... I STILL Cherish those memories of family, friends & laughter.
(My Grandmother passed away shortly before their 70th wedding anniversary - wow!!) I'm beyond blessed by this lineage!!

What do YOU Celebrate?!?!
Whom do You Celebrate??  Take a moment and look at who and what you can celebrate, honor and join in on another's achievement.  Life is hard, celebrating can bring Joy into it!!

Weddings.. sweet and wonderful weddings...

My Friend Kim is Gettin' Married!! Her and her Bob have set the date, picked the gown and set the colors!! I'm helping her with her Invitations, place cards, favors and such... they selected the colors from our Idea Book and several stamp sets... here I played with some ideas and their desires.. What do you think??
I LOVE the interior of this invitation... we are just 'playing' with design at this point but this is using Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla papers, Cherry Cobbler ink, our stunning Rhinestones and Vellum... Kim and Bob's wedding will have Deep Red, Black and Ivory... her dress is Ivory w/ hand sewn Crystals along the top (she's not a 'pearl' girl - she sparkles!!)...
Our Elegant Lines embossing folder is stunning... here it starts off w/ the Vellum cover... hiding the 'sparkle' and interior embossing...
BAM.. OK, so this MAY be my favorite... I think it captures her style, the dress (so stunning) with elegance and sparkle!

I really like the look of the Rhinestones on this card... it fits well into the embossed image on the Very Vanilla paper.. using my handles of my snipps - I pushed it into the embossed image to insure that it'll stay exactly where I want it - I dooo love being the boss of paper!!

Our Perfect Details Embossing Plate allows for this more 'formal', geometric pattern... the peaking of the Always Elegant swirl inside and Rhinestones adds a lil whimsey, doesn't it??
(Another favorite of mine - and my hubby's.... )

I embossed w/ our Big Shot each layer on the Geometric embossing side of the Perfect Details plate... then I layered them... the Always Elegant stamp set 'peaks' at the top and bottom w/ the Cherry Cobbler... the small sparkle adds that extra 'wow' factor... so subtle - not 'overly' sparkley.. lol. Kim really seemed to like this one... we'll see what Bob says...

Weddings.. sweet and wonderful weddings...

This is Textured with our Swirly embossing plate... the interior is our big wheel stamp set ' Very Vintage' as Bob really likes the aged look... this is my hubby's least favorate.
I'm thinking it needs more 'aging'... Kim wonders what her Bob will think.. we'll see, won't we?
Our Baroque Borders makes for an elegant and lovely card... Here - I want to re-do the wheel stamp and make the font larger... the Rhinestones add that Bling and the Black Satin Ribbon really 'gussies' it up, don't you think??

HERE is the Stamped Vellum - I don't care for this look... but we'll see what Kim and her Bob say... hmm... The Always Elegant stamp set works well w/ the Baroque Motiff stamp set... but this vellum is not my favorite of the series...

Weddings.. sweet and wonderful weddings...

This TOP one is where I stamped the vellum w/ the Baroque Motif stamp... and 'Always' from our Always Elegant stamp set...

A Simple vellum exterior - no embossing... simple like a 'veil' look...

Embossing with our Big Shot makes this a fun, textured and elegant project!!

THIS is with the embossed vellum..
NOW... Kim and Bob are going to write what they do and don't like on Post It Notes... attach it and we'll see what they are thinking... they will come over and, knowing it won't hurt my feelings - lol, they'll pick and play w/ me as their designer... this is some 'excellent service' that people would pay thru the nose for... and it's for a special lady and her man...
(I'll post their end result when we get to it.. keep an eye out...)

It's a Paw-Ty!!

I love my kids and having two with February Bdays.. I always said I'd have individual parties.. but with the cost of it all... I did a combo this year... and using our Build A Bear die... I printed these lil 'You Are Invited!! It's a Paw-Ty!' to it... this makes it neutral for both kids, clean and crisp... I've done more elaborate ones but it's been a year... lol...
This is a Sentiment we're missing for our set!! I love this Bear and it makes for a cute invite!! He, he, he... it's going to be quite a Paw-Ty!

On the Inside... I did a lil two punched stars to represent our two angels.. this POPS up as the card is opened... and with the Rose and Blue... it ties in the kids, too... I love tying in my printer on such invites.. it looks smashing!!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
