I was one of thooooose girls growing up. I played football in the street with the boys, climbed trees, played in the mud and in high school I was one of the few (the only one in my classes) who took wood shop and metal working. I also received the best grades in those classes while having a BLAST! Creating this fun gift/wood art was a nod to my love of all crafts, creating, wood and my passion for stamping! I love wood. The smell, texture, and potential.. Adding nature to my hand crafted projects makes my heart so happy!
~ Using these slices of wood and Black Archival ink stamp the Hello Gorgeous saying from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
~ Stamp the roses next and then the stem.
~ Water color in the flowers with the Aqua Painters and our Daffodil Delight ink.
~ Add depth and color with the Calypso Coral ink for that two toned effect.
~ Color in the stem with the Wild Wasabi ink.
~ Seal this off with wood sealer or Modge Podge (like I did).
~ Allow to dry.
~ Hot Glue the strong magnets to the back.
