Polka dots and flowers hand-stamped card

Create a sweet little card that embodies all things girly with sparkle, gold, satin, flowers and polka dots!!  This fun 3" square card is a sweet gift for a friend of mine, Ana as we discussed what I do for a living.  As three of my Spanish speaking friends and I tried to explain what I do in EspaƱola we all realized that the best way to do so would be with the Celebrando Creatividad (our Spanish Catalog and Idea Book).  See what I do and what I love as well as the many language options with this fun and quick card.
Create this sweet card with:
Whisper White card stock 12" (124032)
Moonlight (133701)
Flower Shop stamp set (wood 130939/clear 130942)
Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in SPANISH
Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blendabilites Markers (130998)
Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blendabilites Markers (131033)
Memento ink pad (132708)
Gold Encore ink pad (132141)
Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon (133671)
Gold Sequin Trim (132939)
Pansy Punch (130698)

RECEIVE YOUR OWN COPY of the New Idea Book and Catalog when You EMAIL ME your name, number and the best time to call, I will send it with a hand-stamped gift!!
The new Stampin' Blendabilites markers are just amazing.  They can create a beautiful 3d look with depth and shading, making me feel like an artist.

Here stamp the Flower Shop pansy in Memento ink and stamping it on the Whisper White card stock.  I colored the lightest shade of the Daffodil Delight in the center of the flower.  Coloring the medium shade in the middle and the darkest towards the outside of the center.

Create a rich purple flower with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blendabilites.  Color the lightest of the markers from the outside of the leaves towards the center of the flower.  (Leaving little dashes of white when coloring allows for an added depth.)  Adding the Medium shade to the inner part of the leaves and along the drawn shading.  Adding the darkes along the edges of the inner parts of the leaves and dashes along the drawn in shading... you can create an amazing depth to any project with just a few minutes of your time!!

Punch this flower out with the coordinating Pansy Punch and layer over the Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon with a Stampin' Dimensional.  It's what every girl wants - pretty flowers and gold!!
Being multi lingual is such a cool thing!  Having grown up in a Hispanic community where most of my schooling was ESL I was blessed to have learned another language.  Spanish - I may not be fluent but I'm good enough to get by and now my husband is Italian and mi EspaƱola has a distinct Italian flair (lol).

Did YOU know that Stampin' Up! is multi-lingual, too??  With stamp sets in Spanish, French and German as well as English... you can have many options on who you can reach.
Here the 'Happy Birthday' in the Spanish version of our Teeny Tiny Wishes is a beautiful accent to this sweet 3" card.  Stamped in the Gold Encore ink pad on this polka dot patterned piece of Moonlight Designer Series Paper allows for a dash of sparkle and elegance.

Pulling the Gold Sequin Trim apart - I removed these pretty gold sequins and using the Glue Dots applied them for an added depth and richness to this pretty polka dot card.

Giving this sweet, girly 3" card to my friend Ana was such a fun way to brighten her and her daughter's day!!  She loved the new Idea Book and Catalog with the Celebrando Creatividad.  Sharing my passion while giving someone so pretty and brightening their day is such a wonderful way to live!  Deliver some smiles and in multiple languages with the many options that Stampin' Up! offers in stamps and accessories!!  Feliz Compleanos (Happy Birthday), I hope it is a pretty one!!

Eastern Cabana Goes International

My Recent Celebrando Creatividad Class was a BLAST!  This Bright and Bold Card is uber trendy.. while being Multi-Cultural!
With a Beautifully Baroque embossing folder... so much inspiration came to me... tying it in with our new Eastern Elegance (#130131) Designer Series Paper is natural... combining two beauties comes natural to me (I have many beauties here at home - have you seen my kids - lol?!?!).
The new Coastal Cabana card stock (#131297) makes an ideal bright In-Color statement!  Tying in the new and stunning Ruffle Stretch Trim ribbon in Coastal Cabana (#130024).  It wraps around the Word Window (#119857) punched Feliz Compleanos stamped (Espanol for Happy Birthday) Teeny Tiny Wishes (available in English, Spanish and French #127802) gives me over 70 options of what I will say (with 24 greetings in three languages - one can send love world wide!!).
My Big Shot (#113439) and the Labels Collection Framelits (#125598) gives me many size options and the design mimics the pattern of the beautiful baroque impressions and paper!
Wrapping this Ruffled Ribbon was super easy and makes a very cool accent!!  Whether stamping in English or Spanish.... bling is universal!!  Our adhesive backed Rhinestone Basic Jewels collection (119246) has 150 varying sizes of Sparkle to easily add to any project!
Emboss??  Deboss??  With two sides to the embossing folders and paper... you can chose which look is what you want!  Here the Debossed (on the left) and the Embossed (on the right) give thin, fine or puffy, thicker lines to this baroque design.
Side by Side... subtle differences are fun to note.  Whether you create a wrapped ruffle or just a ruffle skirt... you can celebrate so much and in more than one language!!

Do you know someone who speaks another language??  Who'd appreciate a card in their native language (or even their adopted language??)...  SHARE This and the Love of Crafting and Stamping with those who speak other languages!  I grew up as the minority.. surrounded by the Latin culture.. they are some of the most creative and colorful people!!

National Pink Day
Oh you may think pink's just for girly girls, but fashion savvy men know how to turn heads by rocking some pink.  And actually, before the 1940s, pink was assigned to boys because it was related to red, which was thought to be a masculine color.  So set aside your pink pretense and show your love for this color today.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
