Best Daddy hand-stamped card

As Father's Day nears, my thoughts return to my own Daddy, I have to smile - I had a zany Dad.  He was known for dancing around the house (the Twist!!), making home made bread on our glass dining table while I laid under the table and watched the kneading processes, being a stellar chef, liking to joke and laugh.. now as he is looking down on me, I create this Father's Day card and it makes my Daddy come to mind and I smile.
Create this Father's Day hand-stamped card with:
Blue Ribbon stamp set (wood 131964/clear 125981)
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (wood 130514/clear 130517)
Alphabet Rotary Stamp (133769)
Very Vanilla card stock (1101650)
Crumb Cake card stock (120953)
Crumb Cake ink pad (126975)
Chocolate Chip ink pad (1269979)
Gold Metallic Encore ink pad (132141)
Gold Sequin Trim (132983)
Essentials Wooden Elements (132258)
Paper Snips (103579)
1-3/8" Circle Punch (119860)
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)
Glue Dots (103683)
Color Coach (130118)

Create this Best Daddy ribbon when you stamp the ribbon base from the Blue Ribbon stamp set with Chocolate Chip ink on the Very Vanilla card stock.  Rub the Gold Metallic Encore pad on the ribbons and around the edges of the Scalloped Circle.

Stamp the 'Best' accent from the Blue Ribbon stamp set with Crumb Cake card stock.  Use the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and punch out this element.

Layer the Circle 'Best' over the center with a Stampin' Dimensional.  The Color Coach aides my crafting when it partners colors for a good looking project.  Here the Chocolate Chip is the Monochromatic 'sibling' to the Crumb Cake.

One of my New Favorites from the New Catalog is the Alphabet Rotary Stamp!!  Quickly create words and sayings that you can personalize and use in your crafting!!  Here 'Daddy' with the Alphabet Rotary Stamp and using the Chocolate Chip ink on this banner from the Essentials Wooden Elements brings my own Daddy to mind.
Stamp the Crumb Cake card stock card with the Gorgeous Grunge splatter with the Crumb Cake ink.  Add a fun metallic accent with these lines and the Gold Metallic Encore Pad.  I stamped it so that the lines were a subtle 'frame' for the ribbon.

Accent the Wooden Banner and the card with the Sequin for a dash of masculine bling.
OK so I think I'm around 7 or 8 in this picture!!  It was a family gathering at my Great-Aunt Pauline's home.  Looking back on memories is a great way to bring those who are gone back into your life.  I do miss my Daddy... I'm sure he is looking and chuckling at my wacky life and busy family.

I love my kids and seeing them have their own 'Daddy' moments with my husband.  Being a Daddy's girl did me well in life and as Father's Day nears, this Best Daddy card would surely make my ol' Daddy smile.  Create a personalized card with the new Alphabet Rotary Stamp set and show that you care!  Were YOU a Daddy's kid?  Leave me a comment with your favorite memory and I may pick YOU to send this card to!

Pennant Daddy

Happy Father's Day.... Daddy!!
My son asked me if we could create a gift for Daddy... we created a couple of great cards..
So I pulled out my Big Shot (#113439) (let's be honest here - it's always out and almost always has it's twin near by - lol).  The Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die (#123126)creates a perfect - long lasting - gift!

I'm posting this the day before Father's Day... so shhhhhh - he doesn't have a clue -
I'll decorate early in the morning...
until then, I hope YOU enjoy the view!
This Retired Designer Series Paper is actually a packet that he liked and would rave about when I used... so I wanted to use it for HIS Banner!!

Green is his favorite color is Green and this International Bazaar paper has a bold pattern!

The Typeset Alphabet Bigz (#127553) Dies are essential when crafting as you can spell anything out!
I miss my own Daddy on days like these and yes, I did call him Daddy until the day he died and after.

The Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005) really adds a fun element to this Pennant Banner - every Daddy should have a sparkling banner - lol.
The Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (#126877) is strong enough to hold it up and together.. much like a good Daddy's arms!

Our home is Father's Day weekend and tomorrow I'll be off-line.  I hope that YOU have a wonderful weekend and have someone in YOUR life to celebrate!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
