Easter Eggs punch-art hand made card

One of my favorite Easter candies are those malted eggs.  The speckled ones - crunch, salty and sweet all in one pretty polka dotted egg.  Here with this festive Punch Art hand made Easter Egg card, it brings all the sweet memories of these sweet treats (but sans the calories).  Created for our fun Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Family Creative Connections card making class we had recently, this was a fun card to create with my crafting family.

I love that a twist of how you look at a punch can create a fun (and easy) punch-art hand-stamped card.  
~  With the Balloon Bouquet punch create these Easter Eggs from the large balloon punch out (you can not-punch the stem of the balloon or use your Paper Snips to trim this nub).  
~  With the Fringe Scissors cut this grass from the in-color Emerald Envy card stock.
~  Adhere the grass to the Whisper White card stock with the Fast Fuse adhesive.
~  Apply the Stampin' Dimensionals to the punch-art eggs for fun dimension.
~  Stamp this Happy Easter greeting from the Teeny Tiny stamp set with the Black Archival ink pad.  
Easy and clean, this is such a fun hand-crafted card to create.

Much like Punch Art - taking a different look at your stamp can lend it's self to some fun changes in how your hand-stamped cards will come out.  Ink the Chocolate Chip ink on the Hardwood Background Stamp and stamp onto the Crumb Cake card stock.  Take apart the Hardwood Background stamp with your Paper Snips*.  Separating them allows for this cute 'fence'.  I purposefully tilted one of the 'posts' to allow for a fun country feel.  Accent with the 1/8" Mini Brads - using the 1/16" Handheld Punch to make it easy to push in the brads with ease.

Use the Fringe Scissors and create this cute 'grass' on a 1/2" strip of Garden Green card stock.  Punch these cute Tangerine Tango flowers with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch flower and scrunch the flowers and add the tiny adhesive backed Pearl jewels to the centers.

Simply stamp this cute Happy Bunny stamp from the Occasion Mini Catalog on Whisper White card stock using the Jet Black Stazon ink pad.

Use the Aqua Painter to watercolor the images in - so easy and the beauty of water coloring is that it doesn't have to be perfect!

Die cut the water colored Happy Bunny using the Ovals Framelits on the Big Shot Magnetic Platform and Die-Cutting Machine to create an 'egg'.  Do the same with two of the Best Year Ever FREE Sal~A~Bration Designer Series Paper.

Cut some 'grass' using the Fringe Scissors on Wild Wasabi card stock (a 2" piece gives generous threads to add the 'eggs' to).  Layer in and on the Coastal Cabana card stock for a bright, festive and fun Happy Easter hand-crafted card!

I love sending a pretty hand-stamped card that will delight and brighten someone's day.  Here taking the In-Color Pistachio Pudding card stock (it is going away this year - grab yours while you can!).  Emboss the card from with the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder on the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.  

Cut this pretty Golden Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (it's Specialty due to it's gold foil accents).  This double sided paper gives me such fun options to use!  The 2" strip becomes a fun and interesting grass using the Fringe Scissors. 

Punch 8 hearts out using the Itty Bitty Punch heart punch.  Flip it over for the gold side and use the Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension and create this four leaf clover!  Easy and fun! 

Stamp this FREE Sale~A~Bration Best Day Ever sentiment with Garden Green ink on the Pistachio Pudding card stock.  Punch it out using the Decorative Label punch (or stamp it before embssing the Happy Hearts).

Witching you a Happy Halloween classroom gift

For a girl who doesn't celebrate much in the way of Halloween, I do find ways to celebrate it in whimsical and fun versions.  I have four children in school this year and creating a gift for their classmates is a fun way to share in how we care!  This treat is perfect in 'Witching You a Happy Halloween'.  Create a witches broom from our cardstock, Fringe Scissors and Sticky Strip adhesive and delight the kids who receive it.  Not all families find time to celebrate the fun moments in life - I love, even as my son is getting 'too old' for such fun - it delights him to give the gifts and blesses their classmates (whom they've grown up with all their lives).

Creating this cute tag is super easy!  Using Word I create a document that had three columns and narrow margins.  I printed this simple sentiment over and over - for each of my kids - and printed them!  I love that our Whisper White card stock prints so great!

 

Stamping this adorable little jack-o-latern is easy using the Holiday Home stamp set!  I love how easy it is to use and the image is so clear!

Trimming the Basic Black card stock into 2-1/4" strips and cut the edges with the Fringe Scissors.  Leave a boarder to adhere to the pencils.  Apply with the Sticky Strip to the bordered edge.  Cut this fringed paper into 2-3/4" sections.  Roll along the edge so that it over laps.  Fluff the edges of the fringe for a broom like look.

Add a tag!  Using the 'Witching You a Happy Halloween' tags punch a 1/4" Circle whole using the Handheld punch. Add to the pencil for a cute sentiment.  I then used the Basic Black Baker's Twine to tie on a baggie (our Cellophane Bags) to tie on some cute Halloween themed erasers and a lollipop - what a sweet way to tie on the holiday!

If you celebrate Halloween or Fall or not-at-all - finding reasons to deliver smiles to my kids and their classmates is a fun way to brighten their day!  These Pencils are a 'smart way' to deliver smiles.  Adding the erasers is a great way to show that we all make mistakes and the lollipop - what is this holiday with out sweets, lol?  So as I create 100 or so of these little 'witches brooms' using pencils - I can't wait to see my kids deliver some smiles at school tomorrow.  We Witch YOU a Happy Halloween - from my home to yours!
