Creating a 2 page 12" spread for our 2014 book is easy with this pocket system.  Using the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life collection that covers the first day of school through the holidays gives me a cohesive look to the system and book.

This is the first year that I've had ALL of my Kids in school!  Weird.. I was in a daze after dropping my youngest at Preschool.  Now I'm quick to fill the time with out kids - lol... for adult mental breaks!
These cards make for great pages.  With coordinating cardstock stickers, cook epoxy badges and washi tape.. it makes for an easy but WOW look.  Using the Washi Tape along the bottom of the two pages helps to note the special connection between the two.
My big girl loved seeing her with her new favorite teacher.  I love seeing them reflect on our lives and how we change and grow.
Ohhhh my youngest... she adores looking through the family memory book!  It's fun to see her when she spots herself.
Isn't she a hoot? lol.. Time is just flying and she's my youngest.  I know that capturing these moments are key as they will be gone and sooner than I can imagine.
Using the Alphabet Rotary Stamp to create a custom stamp is easy and fun!  This highlights the school and school year - easy and coordinated!!  No thinking or struggling to achieve a page/spread like this... that is IDEAL as my brain is often fried from the kids and distractions of life - lol.

Adding the cardstock stickers and Epoxy Stickers to the outside of the pockets gives the look of a 'flag' saying '1st Day of School to accenting the pictures for a coordinated look.  Memory Celebrating Monday gives me a fun way to tackle my pages and highlight this system I love so much!!
The striped Epoxy (gel feeling) sticker fits the exact size of her 'wheel' and makes for a fun accent to our youngest on her first day of Preschool.  I adore how Project Life and Stampin' Up! partnered to give us a top quality, stylish and easy system to document our life and leave a legacy of love that my kids can reflect on.
The Washi Tape comes with the Seasonal Snapshot Accessory Pack.  I love the look of it across the bottom of the pages and the two pictures of the kids with their teachers on the first morning of school.

I know that the kids were excited to be back at school and with their friends (me, too!!).  They love their teachers and I love that they are flourishing.  As my son is culminating from Elementary into Jr. High, I know that this season is fast and fleeting.  Cherishing it NOW is a great way to celebrate our life.  Save money and celebrate your life when you use the Project Life by Stampin' Up! to document your life.

Create Memory Celebrating Pages quickly - unlike traditional scrapbooking, these pages come together in MINUTES!  Easy, Low Cost while Coordinated!  I use both traditional pages and the Project Life pages but with the easy and style of the Project Life by Stampin' Up! pages I do a majority of my pages in this format - and I LOVE IT!!  I love, too, how my family enjoys seeing those photos come off of my iPhone and get into an actual book that they can see and share.

A Legacy of Faith, Family and Love Documented

Celebrating a legacy of Faith, Family and Love.. where our my beloved Grandfather built the church that my nephew, his wife and children are the Pastors shows that 100 years of Faith is still continuing on today!  Bringing my children to my old stomping grounds and walking the same wooden stairs that I did as a child, standing and snuggling babies in the Parsonage that my Grandfather built (and has housed four generations of our family) and walking to see old friends while celebrating new memories... it's the simple things that fill my heart.  Join me and let me share these sweet memories..
Celebrate YOUR memories, like I did with:
Project Life 12"Variety Pack Photo Pocket Pages (135294)
Happiness Is Project Life Card Collection (135307)
Happiness Is Project Life Accessory Pack (135309)
Project Life Journaling Pens (135304)
Alphabet Rotary Stamp (133769)
Basic Grey ink pad (126981)
Black Faux Leather 12" Project Life Album (135292)

Jody is now the Pastor at the church my Grandparents built over 80 years ago.  With many generations of pastors, our family and others, having lead this church, it's amazing to see it still standing and growing.  His family lives in the Parsonage (this is a home in the back of the church for the Pastor's family).  Having had grown up there as a teen and now having his own teens in the same home - it is a cool feeling.  Holding my niece's daughter and snuggling her in the same home that I did it with her mother, it means the world to me!  Giving memories like this to our children and seeing them having fun with their cousins... what a blessing!!

Documenting the DAY.... the new Alphabet Rotary Stamp makes it easy to personalize your own phrases!  It's fun and easy to use with 13 spaces you can create many sayings and personalized stamps.  This Easter 2014 was fun to create and stamp with the Basic Grey ink pad.

When Documenting and Celebrating our life, half the battle is getting my pictures printed from my iPhone.  I now keep a stock of books ready at hand (and print them as I go along) and then have a stash of our Project Life cards and accessory collections and 12" pages.  I LOVE how the card and accessory collections all keep together and store in a minimal amount of space.  I can now quickly create and celebrate our life - and QUICK is the Key!  I'm a mom of 6 - it has to be easy, fun, good looking and quick for me to be able to use it.

Let ME give YOU the Gift of Pictures... I don't receive anything for this referral but I found the Coolest App that I have to share with you!  CLICK HERE to see more on the Groovebook App and how to print 100 photos for FREE (yes, Free) from your smart phone!!
Seeing my kids stand on the same steps and hunt for Easter Eggs in the same grassy area of the church that I did... what an amazing circle of life!  Knowing that my Grandfather built and helped to maintain this church, while my kids are standing with their cousins on the same steps.. there are no words.  I know that our grandparents are looking down and smiling at this new generation of busy kids.

Finding the time to document and celebrate our memories (now that I actually get my digital photos printed - lol) is hard to do.  Scheduling and finding time to share it with y'all is just a great way to get me doing our documenting (Happy Memory Celebrating Monday)!

Store these memories in the Newly Released Black Faux Leather 12" Project Life Album for a sturdy, elegant look - worthy of holding the finest of memories. (Just Released - grab yours now!)

When you have a church that was built over 80 years ago that has a new generation of our family serving in it... it's a blessed legacy to share with my family.  I love Jody and his wife Vanessa and how they are keeping our family's legacy of love, faith and family alive in the same place that we all grew up in!  I pray that these pages of our time together will be looked back on and show how blessed we are.  What do YOU Celebrate and Document?  Leave me a comment and let me know!

Summer memories

It's here - SUMMER!  Today, 7~7~14 is a fun day to 'celebrate'.  We just survived (and enjoyed) our 4th of July weekend and today was our first 'real' day of summer.  For us it means a low-key schedule, we take a power walk (for me, pushing a stroller) and the kids on their bikes.. then we run errands and visit friends and customers, hit the library for the reading club and enjoy a cold drink and a fresh slab of watermelon.  With a busy school year behind us, I took a moment today to document what the excited thoughts of summer are for each of them!  Enjoy our July 7th Page here on Memory Celebrating Monday... join us every Monday as we celebrate life - together!!

I LOVE my Grovebooks - where I've printed pictures off of my phone and they come in these easy to use books.  Using our Stampin' Trimmer to SCORE (not cut) my pictures.  Odd?  Well, I do cut my pictures down to scale sometimes but I love the time and date stamp on the edge of the Groovebook books so by scoring I can tuck in our summer memory date and location to reference if I want.
Sigh... I love the ease of these Project Life Pocket Pages and coordinating cards!!  The fact that they coordinate with our 2014-16 In-Colors I can add journaling in the Blackberry Bliss, Stamp the Rotary Stamps in coordinating colors.  This makes for easy transport (crafting with my girlfriends while our kiddos play) while looking stylish!!

Clean Up is a BREEZE!  The Project Life Cards and Accessories all fit into these streamlined boxes!!  So I can tuck them away when I am not using them... in our small home, I need to be able to tuck them away.  They travel well, too.

The Rotary Stamps each give me 12 sentiments and dates until 2023 to use in two simple compact rotary stamps!!  The In-Color Stampin' Write Markers are in their own streamlined box, sigh... ideal to toss this into my messanger bag and play at a friend's home while our kids play.  I can multitask and catch up with my girl, let the kids play and document our life (Super Hero Mom - lol).
The Happiness Is collection has stunning stickers and fun cards, accessories that are easy to use!!  Adding this card to this piece of cut Hello Honey card stock is a pretty way to tie the page together (and easily!!).  Stamping this 'Don't Forget' and 'Glasses' is ideal from the Make Note Rotary Stamp that I colored with the Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker.  (I have a not-so-secret addiction to Sunglasses - so Summer/California - lol.)
Give this as a GIFT!!  With color coordinated In-Color Stampin' Write Markers, In-Color Card Stock Assortment that all coordinate, perfectly, with the Happiness Is Project Life collections - you can give this as a gift to teachers, moms, grandmothers and even kids - this collection makes for an easy coordinated gift that gives a legacy of love.

This Remember Rotary Stamp allows me to mark specific dates!  So happy 7~7~14!!  Marking this on this card will give me a color coordinating reference to when this occurred.  I love these Rotary Stamps!!
Journaling what I don't want to forget - the memories that as the kids grow older will diminish (as new ones fill my brain and heart).  Simple things like the Dodgers baseball games to time in Big Bear, Oceanside, Ventura, Solvang... even our weekly trips to the library for Reading Club.. simple but sweet memories that leave behind a legacy of love.

Adding fun accents to my page with the Happiness Is accessory pack and these cute wood hexagons.. the Fast Fuse Adhesive is super strong and holds the cards to my card stock and this wood hexagon wood piece to the pretty patterned card!
Out of the mouth of babes... I took a moment to ask my kids what they LOVE about Summer... so today with this cute card from the Happiness Is card collection and the Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker I listened to my kids and wrote, in their own words, what they love about summer.  I love that this page has their precious faces and even their words...
Two shots... a collage of our time with my babies at the Beach... and Hoola Hoops laying at our door on a hot summer day.. soon, like my older girls, these kids will be busy working, school and their friends.. times like this  will soon be few and far between.  It's just simple moments that are sometimes the most missed.

Printing my pictures off my Iphone (my ever present camera these days) is easier than ever!  The Groovebook App sends me these collections that are perforated and time/location stamped so that I can actually use them and document them when I have the time.  See MORE and My Gift to YOU when you CLICK HERE!!

Life is busy and flying by faster every year.  I always thought I'd have MORE time as the kids get older but I find that they fill my every spare moment.  That will happen, until it doesn't (as most people know).  Marking simple moments in our life that will be missed is a wonderful way to celebrate our crazy, blessed life!  With 6 kids, as a business owner, wife, mom and more.. I need every spare moment I have - this Project Life System allows me to Celebrate and Document our life in a minimal amount of time!  So join me - document and celebrate YOUR Life (and the life of those you love), leaving behind a legacy of love (while being stylish - lol).

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
