Gilded in Gold? Gold Leafing How-To on this Stampin' UP! and Target Dollar Bin Find

I LOVE how easy this was to elevate!  Honestly?? Gold Leafing was too scary for me - the static cling of everything would freak me out as it pulled the delectate gold about my crafting surfaces.  Then THIS project just about DEMANDED it!

Concerns?  Well - I have an issue with mess and disorganization and chaos (unless I am creating it, lol!).

I have issues with textures, stickiness can freak me out - especially when it is ON me!

Soooo... I have some Fixes, Suggestions and How-To to corral the crazy feeling, work on the project and NOW I am Addicted to it!  Enjoy this Project HERE and then see BELOW how we upgraded it with Gold Gilding in our Gold Leafing!

Grabbing these Supplies and a 'Clean' Baby Wipe (no oils, and basic for sensitive skin) I would clean my finger as I applied and worked on the project.  Playing with the Stampin' Sponge and Stampin' Blends, the Multi-Purpose Liquid Adhesive and it came together so so so very easily!

Can we JUST Gushhhh at this stunning Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper?!  Soooo LUSH!  Metallic and Vintage with amazing patterns on each side!

We DID elevate it with the Gold Leafing and I have some GREAT Tips and Tricks to avoid it being too messy!

From THIS to THIS! WOW!  What do YOU think?!  Comment and Let Me Know.

This was a timely process... the Paper Cutting to placing it down..

Honestly, I dislike Puzzles!  So... Here is the ULTIMATE puzzle that I'm putting together.  THAT BEING SAID.. I created this in about 3 hours, 15 minutes (the Gold Gilding was about 20 more minutes).  I also watched some videos, did an interactive Facebook LIVE for my team - all while creating this!  This would be a GREAT Project to do while watching some TV.

FUN TIP:

I printed a SECOND Map and used it as I cut, trimmed out my pieces and placed it down.

I also used the Multi Purpose Liquid Adhesive with Each Piece I cut out.

WHEN - Not If - you have some gaps.. use the strips that you trimmed off to fill in.

Cool Tools!

I grew up watching and loving Tim Allen as the bumbling handyman/tool man Tim/Dad. Who knew that they made such great tools for us girls!

These were some of the goodies I nabbed at the Stampin' Up! 24th Annual Convention this year! I love, love, love these cutie patooties! What do you think??

Tools for around the house and even the coolest water bottle in Midnight Muse!!! (Growing up this what I dreamed my first vintage mustang or truck would be painted!!! Almost black but luscious blue!!). Now I have a new friend to take to my 5am workouts! Today was Abs with Sharlene, tomorrow Melinda and I will do Spin with the amazing Sharlene!

Gooooo for the gold!! Hmmmm what to hammer or measure around here?? My girls have measured the doors, our dogs head and my foot... Lol.

Home sweet home!

When I envision being home I'd hoped for happy but quiet kids who are respectful, happy and obedient. Nope! So I have defiant kids who won't go to bed, are angry and argumentative.

So I made this lil note with our old fine glitter and hot pink paper. Life started out great this morning with a fresh hot coffee from my Keurig in a great cup, kisses from my kids and my Kindle. It has since gone down hill with yelling and defiant kids. I wish I could hide in my room allllll day. Nope... Off to the mill I gooooo.
