Into the Smash Book We Go...

I'm a big Alice in Wonderland fan - lol...
Here is my turn into the rabbit hole... and the fun we will find!!  Smash Books are ALL the Rage!
Who knew?!?!  Stampin' Up! apparently and our This and That book gives you a low-cost option FULL of Colorful and Rich papers... come and play along!

So, much like life down the rabbit hole, life scrap booking in a Smash Book is different from the reality we used to know!
I was commissioned to create a book and this is what I came up with... Here are the first few pages...

You can have fun decorating the inside book cover - make it an extra page for your book!  Continuing the feel of the cover (Click Here for more on the cover I created.) with the Honeycomb (#129378) embossed Soho Subway Designer Series Paper (#130140) for a fun but twist on this nature inspired book.
Adding fun embellishments with my Hot Glue Gun (they need an uber strong adhesive!!) allows me to have a natural and fun embellishment... these Naturals Designer Buttons (#127554) are a wood-like look and buttons up this Natural themed book.
POCKETS!!!!!  Two Awesome Pockets are inside this book and are ideal to hold tickets, mementos and more!  There are two stunning coordinating paper envelopes - they can hold private thoughts, wishes...
(Pockets are a very trendy thing - lol - see them added to wedding dresses and more - lol.)
Climb the trellis - or here you can clip with our Hung Up Cute Clips (#129389)... as a fun twist on adhering memories to the Lattice Bigz die (#115958) and Big Shot (#113439)
These arrows, word bubbles and more are a great way to add whimsy. Adhere the Lattice Trellis with a slight bubble in the center - this allows it to be easy to use the pretty paper clips and not tear the project!

Alice was taken (even if it was in her dreams) into a world that was similar but way different look.  She was turned upside down and more... This and That, our Stampin' Up! Smash Book takes what we knew about scrap booking and twisted it up with Washi Tapes (here the Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape #131269 is perfectly coordinated!!) to adhere pictures and more down... fun paper clips, and hot glue... nothing like the original way of scrap booking.  These are great gifts, too!

CLICK HERE to see our Full Line of Stamps, Papers, Coordinating Products and Amazing Tools... See the This and That book on pages #130, 154, 155 ++ of the Catalog.. oh the fun you can have!!  The book has 30 beautiful color and patterned papers... with the Coordinating Epic Day This and That Designer Series Papers (#130814) that makes it easy, fun and trendy to craft!!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!  Share this and me.. Pin it, Email, Tweet, Facebook and more... let's travel down this rabbit hole together - lol!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
