From a recent trip up to our beloved Big Bear, I couldn't resist crafting!  Taking the This and That books allows me to plot our life (well, I have one as a 'dream journal' where I post pictures from magazines and on-line that I love and dream of the day I will have it - lol).  I can document the memories we make as a family and even, with my children, teach them to document and appreciate their memories.  Recently, my son was journaling about how it felt to win an award at school - it was fun to see him re-living and evaluating how he felt.  (Not bad for a 10 year old boy.)

 

Journaling on our deck - I travel with a small Thirty One bag that has my This and That journals, washi tapes, designer stickers and tape.  I even keep it in the car and use it when I know I need to 'fill time'

 

Print photos from your recent vacation or a favorite get-away. Adhere the photos to the Retro Fresh This and That Journal with the Retro Fresh Designer Washi Tape. The fun and coordinated patterns allows me to add fun elements to my page.

Stamping the words from the Perfect Blend stamp set on the Essentials Wood Elements with the Baked Brown Sugar stamp pad. Adhere these to the pages with Glue Dots. (Such a fun and whimsical element, representing the Sun and Words....)

Stamp the Coffee Cup from the Perfect Blend stamp set on Very Vanilla and a then the band of the coffee cup on a piece of the Retro Fresh Designer Paper. Cut both out and adhere them together.

Journal some thoughts and take a moment to capture "your" time and thoughts (not just that of your family or friends) with the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags. Adhere to the page with the Retro Fresh Designer Washi Tape.

Memory Documenting at the lake

Sigh... yes, this is the view from our deck!  This is worth putting into a This and That Book - I may document what I documented - lol.  Whipping a cup of coffee, sitting on the deck, the cool weather and breeze as the lake laps water just in front of me... sigh.. what a blessed life!  THANK YOU for supporting my business and family.

I enjoyed a morning of crafting with ladies here at our resort (I even taught a card making class today).  Coming back, continuing to craft but with a focus on our family and life... it was easy and so refreshing.

Traveling with the This and That books, coordinating Washi Tape, Designer Stickers... it is easy!  With a car that was packed with family, luggage and fun - I am allotted a little space for my crafting.  This travels well, I even keep a messenger bag with them in it and grab it when I know I will have a long wait at schools, parks, appointments (why do they make appointment times yet make you wait??).

I love this scene where I my kiddos are playing in the sand.  They are growing so fast, these times are fleeting.  With a home where I play referee, hearing them fight daily.. I love scenes where they are cooperating, playing together (in nature) and building up our family.  These are precious memories!

 

Here using the Essential Hardware to highlight their work-play... it's a fun accent to my page.  The metallic gold Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape makes for a pretty accent that coordinates with this golden beach.

Butterflies abound in my garden this year... I've been so blessed to see these beautiful Monarchs and Yellow Tails... among a variety of others.  If you don't now, they sell butterfly enticing bushes... simply called Butterfly Bushes.  We planted them outside the windows where my kids have their toy nook.... the view is so worth it

(we have hanging hummingbird feeders here, too).
